Mottled Nose is the second mutation to be born during Jay's Feather's reign. She is uncapable of joining the hunting trips with other lionesses, making her a cast-out. The only lioness that seems to embrace her as a true member of the pride is Rainswept Flower, her best friend, and the other mutated lionesses. The two are inseparable, and are only seen away from each other when the achromia lioness is out for hunting. Mottled Nose is vain, kind and sarcastic. She is often called rude by the pride members, but only because they don't understand her snarky personality. She usually sits alone and doesn't get along well. To give the lioness an occupation, Jay's Feather nominated her a broodmother, to take Speckled Pelt's place.
