Basically, Bomani is a runaway. Even though he was not yet grown, he decided he was better off on his own, and ran away from his pride. He hadn't been out there alone for long though, until he met Shing. Hungry, thirsty, tired and exhausted, he came to a waterhole to drink, not noticing, he had actually wandered onto the older lions territory, who tried to chase him off. In his stubborn way, though Bomani refused to go away and spent a whole day with Shing, chasing each other around the pond, and occasionally fighting, until Shing had enough and decided he could use this kind of spirit in his pride.

Growing into a proud fighter, he grew increasingly weary of Shing, and often came short of trying to fight the older male. A lot of times Shakha, who had grown into his good friend, pulled him out of trouble. Still, despite their tight friendship, though, Shaka hadn't told him about little Ime and he only got to know about it, when Shing dragged the defenseless cub into camp. Later he would learn that Shakha hadn't told him, in fear Bomani would be punished with him, should he be found out. He was only coming back from patrol, when Shing and Shakha were fighting, but when the others asked Shakha to succeed the old King, he backed his friend all the way.

Trusting Bomani from their long friendship, Shakha made him his second in command, relying on his friend as a skilled fighter and strong ally.


"Bomani runs up to tussle with you for a bit before running off again, always looking for adventure."

"You sit there, trying to wake up from your nap, and suddenly Bomani challenged you to a duel! Seriously dude...can't it wait a bit?"

"You were quietly stalking a lizard for fun...when suddenly, Bomani charged in and tore up everything trying to catch it! Well, that was still entertaining, at least."

"Bomani walks up to you and suddenly rips a huge fart. He runs away laughing madly...WTF."
