Meruem | Female | Alpha | Mentions Artemis and Kismet
Meruem padded into the glade and raised her head to sniff the air. Shadows cast by the arching tree branches above dappled her coat further and her gem-like eyes flitted over the trunks and mossy rocks around. She liked what she saw. The ground was a soft carpet of brown pine needles beneath her paws and there was enough undergrowth to provide shelter or camouflage if needed. The babbling of a nearby brook told her there would be water nearby and she hadn't smelled any other predatory animals this far into the forest. Turning to her delta, Artemis, she said in a quiet but clear voice "Scout the perimeter of this glade and twenty yards beyond it. Its as good as anything we've found so far." Her eyes landed on a large boulder that had been beaten a dark gray by the elements and had emerald moss crawling up its side. In a swift bound she clambered on top of it and gazed down at the clearing. "What do you think, Kismet?" she called down to the white male.

Artemis | Delta | 2

Artemis stood near her smaller sister, her eyes narrowed. When Meruem spoke, she nodded once and waited as a low breeze passed through the trees, and added quietly "Our brothers are near, can you feel them? Their scent, their presence. I wonder if they are almost finished. If they are here, we might have some fun with any nearby packs, yes?" With her sister, Artemis' voice was a smooth hum, similar to her albino brother's, but feminine and even more fluid than his own. She smirked and put power into her legs, leaping forward with powerful bounds, her well toned muscles rippled beneath her dark pelt.

Kismet (Beta): Meruem & Artemis

The burly white wolf trailed after the alpha. His ice eyes were illuminated by the few streaks of light that nestled their way through the thick canopy of leaves above, causing his irises to appear nearly white under the rays. He skillfully maneuvered his paws over slick stones and fallen branches, careful not to trip or make too loud of a noise in case his pack was not the only one scouting the area out. No foreign smells tainted his nostrils however, and neither did he see any predators around. The heavy scent of pine coated the majority of what he could smell of his own self, for the glade's floor was padded with the thin, deadened needles. He heard Meruem speak and darted his eyes quickly to her, a bit surprised by her tone, for he had been fixated on studying the surroundings. After listening to her order given to Artemis, the male took a few pawsteps forward, further inspecting the immediate area. The moss around could be used as bedding, and same with the surplus of elongated leaves.
Caught off guard by Meruem's voice once more due to being captivated by the surroundings, he looked over his shoulder at her alertly to make sure she was in no danger before turning to fully face her. "It seems safe, Alpha," he retorted. "Nice...very nice," he added, a tad quiet, as he glanced around a bit more. It was odd to crane his neck back to speak to her, or with anyone actually. He was a big wolf, and was usually quite a bit taller than those he was around. He sniffed curiously at the moss that grew up the side of the boulder, admiring the freshness of its scent. "What do you think?" He asked her after several seconds.

Meruem | Alpha | Kismet and Artemis

Meruem watched her sister bound away back into the shadows of the trees, her dark pelt soon lost to her eyes. She considered Artemis' words and understood what she had meant. The bond the four siblings shared was one that ran deeper than blood. The training they had endured together, the pain they had supported each other through-it was etched into the souls and she found it hard to trust any wolf as much as she trusted them. Having Killua and Illumi gone from her side had been like missing her eyes or ears. They were an integral part of her, as she was of them. Now that they were within a days walk of each other she felt like she could already smell their fur and hear their voices. Her paws felt lighter than they had in days, since they had set out from the marshlands. She watched as Kismet sniffed at the moss on the boulder she was sitting upon. "What do I think? About the moss or the clearing?" she asked in a moment of rare humour. "Both are satisfactory, as is this forest. Shadow would no doubt be pleased at our find." She leaped down from the boulder enjoyed the way the sound of her paw pads was muffled by the pine needles. Stealth would be easy in this forest. But that meant the same for enemies too. "When Artemis returns I will have her set up a perimeter. I'd like you to then take a couple of others and lay down a scent border within sight of that 'Duskfall' packs border." She looked up at pieces of evening sky through the branches above as the sky gradually turned to twilight gray. "We musn't rest until we are secure. Easing off now in unknown territory would be a bad idea."

Artemis | Delta | 2

Streaking through the forest, Artemis felt naturally drawn to Duskfall, but stayed on her course. {This is very nice. Our dark pelts will work even better here than in the marshes! Maybe we should get into contact with our siblings, a joint raid on the middle pack on the same day would be exhilarating..} Artemis paused a moment at th edge of the glade, and raised her nose up, letting the breeze flow into her flared nostrils. "Hmm, nice scent, nice scent," she hummed, darting forward again and listening to the thrumming of her own paws on the ground, her long, sturdy legs running an endless pattern, her pawsteps were muffled, but Artemis could feel the impact of them gliding over the ground, and the vibrations echoing soundlessly in her ears.

(The last part sounds strange, but i didnt want to say she could hear in her paws, thatd be way too much repetition and in the way I was going to write it, impossible. So I made it a bit more simple...sort of)

Shayla & Raphael | Gammas

Raphael's golden eyes gleamed happily as he took in the camp before him. Even in daylight the light was muted and gray, like twilight, though there were places where the sun broke through and basked the earth below in warmth. He could live here and not feel like something was going to jump out at him from behind every tree or rock. He sniffed at the base of a tree and scratched at the earth with his slim paws, the earth falling away easily. There was no smell of mushrooms which was good. If there were to be pups, and the idea had his gulping uneasily as Meruem's face came to mind, mushrooms would be a hazard. He had eaten enough as a pup himself to know that. A nose prodded into his side and he turned to see Shayla gazing at him, a mischievous sparkle in her cyan eyes. "I can tell you like it," she grinned. "You always slit your eyes like a feline when you're happy and you did it just then."
Raphael rolled his eyes "Observant as ever, Shayla. I do like it. If Meruem chooses it then I won't complain,' he said gruffly and looked at their alpha as she spoke with Kismet. Shayla nodded in agreement, humming a simple tune while they sat together.

Kismet(Beta): Meruem

A playful snort left Kismet's nostrils as Meruem joked. It wasn't usual for him to express his happiness, but a small grin replaced the line of his dark lips. The white wolf was fairly cold-hearted and stern and hardly laughed about anything. He was a sullen, powerful spirit, but did approve of the occasional tease and the exchange of fun banter. He was like the alpha in that way: that humor was something he didn't spend much time on. The brawny brute listened keenly to the she-wolf. "Indeed," he agreed that Shadow would be pleased and took a small pawstep backwards, giving her a bit more room as she leapt from her perch.
Kismet intently listened to his commands, his ice eyes studying Meruem's mannerisms. He admired the way she led the pack and seemed decently confident even when in unknown territory. He himself had grown to believe that fear was a laughable emotion, one that only the weak show. "Of course," the beta nodded, understand his mission. Kismet nodded his head in dismissal before striding away.

(The forum that Hope posted before, this is a "joint" rp i guess you could say. Illumi, Hope's nee character, is in my roleplay with my character, another brother, and this pack territory is bordering one of my pack's territory :) )

The nearly pure black female wove her way through the trees, a limp bundle in her mouth swayed with each graceful step. Her unnaturally bright ice blue eyes sent prey scattering and some wolves drawing near to inspect these weird floating eyes. Upon reaching the clearing she set the bundle down, it unfolded into that of a young pup, "Alpha, Beta." She dipped her head to the pair, giving a small, almost non existent wink to Kismet. At the mention of Illumi and Killua she snapped her head upwards, "They are that close? Hmm..." Her ears swivled, making sure to step on the 4 month old's tail to get her from darting off... Again, "Jazzlyn don't make me bite you." She threatened quietly, glaring down at the pup and snapping at the air inches from her daughter's face when she got the same look in return. "Missy." She tsked, digging her paw more into Jazz's tail, a claw digging it's way into her flesh slightly.

Mentions: A pine needle.

The white wolf gazes around for his half-sister, a frown slowly coming to his face. Strange. She's usually never too far away.. He shakes his head, visibly putting the thoughts out of his mind. A soft sigh comes out of his mouth and he lowers his head to nudge the dry pine needles beneath his paws. He had to admit, this place was very nice.. but it didn't feel like home. The presence of the other packs looming so close to this territory made him uneasy as well. A soft breeze catches his fur and he closes his eyes, smelling the earthy scent that came with it. A pine needle slowly drifts down from the tree above and lands delicately on his nose, causing him to sneeze rather violently and plop back on his haunches.
