Just a quick suggestion: The decors or backgrounds that you have equipped on a lioness would have a very small chance of creating a specific flavour text. For example, you're visiting your lionesses for the first time that day, and one is equipped with the Body Paint decor. You happen to get a flavour text from her, saying something along the lines of: "[Name] walks over and gently rubs her face against you in greeting. Some of the rusty-colored paint rubs off on your fur." These flavour texts would not need to be specific to the lioness's personality as well. So, there might just be one flavour text per decor item. Or, possibly two flavour texts: one for neutral, kind, and good personalities, and one for snarky and evil personalities. [That may be more work than it's worth, though] The first Body Paint example may be the neutral/good text, and a snarky/evil text could be along the lines of: "[Name] growls as you approach, and the lines of paint down her face accentuate her snarling muzzle. You decide to give her some space." Not every decor item would necessarily have a specific flavour text. I feel like the larger decors, the ones that cover most of a lion's body, would be the most important to generate these texts for. So, a lioness that has "Flesh of the Unworthy" equipped could definitely use a pretty terrifying flavour text, while "Scar: Muzzle" would not ever need to generate any text. Why do we want/need this suggestion? We definitely don't need these flavour texts. But, I think it would be just another way to make the flavour texts more specific to the lioness, and therefore more exciting in gameplay. These could be a feature that is slowly implemented as people are able to come up with the texts specific to each decor item. User Critiques / Suggestions: 1. "Some decors clash with personality lets take flesh of the unworthy. Putting that on a "good" or "kind" lion is a bit awkward, let alone a flavor test that matches the decor and the personality would just ... be hard to do." Kimiko Kyuuketsuki [S2D] (#32476) My response: Lioden has always has its own wacky sense of humor, and I think finding ways to include different decors into different personalities would actually be a fun challenge, and would not have a hard time fitting into the general Lioden atmosphere. But, I would like to hear how others feel about this :) Suggested solution by Jenetikitty (#72318): "You spend a while laying with [Name] watching the sunset. While talking, she tells you how at first the lion's pelt draped over her body disturbed her, but now it feels more like an old friend keeping watch over her." ---- Decor Flavour Text Suggestions: You overhear [submale] boasting about the mighty battle that he fought with the lion who's skin he's wearing. You snort quietly, watching one lioness roll her eyes at him. Flesh of the Unworthy | submitted by Jenetikitty (#72318) You spend a while laying with [Name] watching the sunset. sorry but no support because I dont think it is really needed, I also believe some decors clash with personality lets take flesh of the unworthy. putting that on a " good " or " kind" lion is a bit awkward, let alone a flavor test that matches the decor and the personality would just ... be hard to do. I don't know how to explain it and it seems like it would be hard to code to me. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/11/15 @ 10:46:21 by Kimiko Kyuuketsuki [S2D] (#32476) |

Kimiko: Yeah, I completely understand that. I'm honestly not sure how the coding works, but if it was more difficult than the end result was worth, then it can definitely be a throw-away suggestion. And it's definitely not a necessary suggestion. But neither were the personality flavour texts to begin with. This is just another section of that, that takes into account another layer of a lion's personality. I actually think it would be kinda a fun challenge to make some of the texts. A good lion with Flesh of the Unworthy might go like "You start as you see the terrifying lion pelt draped across [Name]'s body. As you recoil in disgust, she peeks out and smiles at you. Awww, how adorable." I appreciate your feedback, though! It definitely would end up depending on how difficult it would be to code, as well as the time spent coming up with more flavour texts. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support htis, though I disagree with the example of the good lion with the flesh of the unworthy -- that text is more colored by the viewing lion's perspective, rather than the lioness's personality. Something more appropriate might be: You spend a while laying with [Name] watching the sunset. While talking, she tells you how at first the lion's pelt draped over her body disturbed her, but now it feels more like an old friend keeping watch over her. ANyway, I support this! I love flavor texts :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jenetikitty: I completely agree with you there, and I like your example! I haven't actually seen enough flavour texts yet to get a full feeling of how they sound, so I appreciate your feedback :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I love this idea, so totally happy to give feedback! Man, I could come up with flavor text for days :D It's gives so much TEXTURE to my lions and I love it. You overhear [submale] boasting about the mighty battle that he fought with the lion who's skin he's wearing. You snort quietly, watching one lioness roll her eyes at him. When you wander up, [Name] is playing with a pretty feather that you realize with a bit of surprise that you gave her. It's looking a little ratty, and she looks at you with a bit of guilt before giving it a grooming lick or two before tucking it back into her fur. (any feather) [Name] hums softly as she sprawls out in the sunlight. For a moment, you're startled -- had you seen a small ghostly cub crawling over her? As you walk into the clearing. [Name] bounds over to you, eyes a bit desperate. A few steps behind her is the cub that refuses to be parted from her company. [Name] asks if you could possibly arrange for her to go out on a hunting trip. Now, preferably. For that matter, it'd also be neat to see nursing lionesses have some unique flavor texts too... so I started a separate thread for that over here! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thank you :D Oh man, I love flavor text. I could go on for hours. :) I really hope this one gets put in! (and if some admin reads this and says "but it's so hard, coming up with flavor text.." I would like to say that I would happily help!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I definitely support this. I love the rp aspect of this game (as anyone who looks at my pride can tell) XD I'd like to make some suggestions: Frivolous Apedemak - You walk up to talk to [lioness] but find her attentions are already occupied. It looks like the self-proclaimed god is hanging around your pride again and taken a shining to her. You roll your eyes. Maybe for all the scars a generic one - You sit down with [lioness] and the conversation turns to a scar you notice. You listen to her story of how she got it as you watch the sun set. I'd also be glad to come up with more (limited time right now as have to go out). Thanks for suggesting this though! 0 players like this post! Like? |
