Kanaya sighed as she slowly walked out the door. It was pitch black, just how she liked it. Her pure white face shone in the darkness while her jet black hair seemed to disappear.

Rachel Cloudwalker, a newbie to the town, had just stepped from her apartment and locked her door as she pulled out a small camera and started to walk towards town, eager to take pictures for the article she was writing for the magazine she worked for.

Alexus lifted the small black hood from her view, breathing in the fresh air as a rush of wind blew strands of her pitch, black hair. Sighing out she hung onto the limb of the tree taking in the view of the city, tilting her head to the side as she noticed a new face, sure she hardly goes into the town but she know everyone and everything as the back of her hand and seeing a new face unnerved her. 'A new face can be a threat' she thought slightly narrowing her eyes towards the Native-American. Seeing as though it was just her thoughts she dismissed them seeing that she probably isn't one based on her posture and friendly demeanor radiating from her face. She soon jumped down the high branches until she reached ground surface, tightening the blade in her hip holester she searched for a possible catch for a meal.

Rachel was distracted by her camera, trying to configure the settings to bring out the low lighting of the streets. She smiled with pleasure as she crouched down on the sidewalk and quickly snapped a few pictures before standing back up again and viewing them. Hmm. Good! Pretty little town, and she loved the atmosphere she got from it. She put away her camera and replaced it with a notepad and pen as she jotted down notes and ideas for the description of the towns setting.

Axel was walking down the main street of the small town. It was too nice to be inside or driving so he decided it would be a good idea to take Lucifer out for a walk. Lucifer was a large grey wolf that was completely muscle but wouldn't hurt a fly unless told to. Axel had taken care of Lucifer since he was a pup so it was only natural that he was entirely obedient and did not need a leash As they walked Aj spotted some new face snapping a few picture with a camera then taking out a notepad and jotting a few things down. ~Journalist always writing or taking a photo of something.~ He quiletly thought with a smile.

Rachel glanced up as movement caught her attention from the corner of her eye and was given a bright surprise with a handsome wolf trotting down the street, with whom she assumed was it's master, or perhaps that wolf was a werewolf and the man beside it was a packmate. You could never tell. But she loved the way they strode side-by-side. She quickly grappled for a picture and unceremoniously took a quick snapshot of them, trying to take it so the young man's face couldn't clearly be made out, because some legal issues might arise if his face was recognizable to a certain degree, and yada yada. After glancing over the pic she waved with a big, bright grin at the pair, eyes big and bright.

Huffing and struggling, hooves scraping over the stone made stairs with each step, a laptop clutched to his chest as Kyle Lucas took the stairs down. ”Worst idea ever, I’m gonna break my neck one of these days.” He grumbled to himself as he hopped down the last four steps and landed with a slight clatter. Shaking his head he headed off the path and onto the sidewalk with a much calmer air then he had on the stairs, though his eyes flickered around nervously and his ears pressed forward as he looked over his shoulder at the small bundle of black and tan fur on his back, making sure Danah had stayed on. The click of a camera up ahead caught his attention as he glanced forward before snorting in amusement as he continued on towards the coffee shop. Seems like they had a new photographer in town, or maybe a journalist? Who knew?

Jay quickly began to file his spells into his bag as he tried to hurry to get into town. He was late, and he need to hurry so he could get to work, his coffee shop wasn't going to run itself(lol, I edited a few thing about my character so if you want to find out more just look him up DX). after gathering his stuff her hurried downstairs to his coffee shop. scattering to get everything ready to open shop. after a few seconds of chicken scrambling, Jay was ready and now was sporting an apron. with a smile he headed to the window to flip the sign from close to open. after that he unlocked the doors and tooked his place behind the counter waiting for people to come.

Rachel glanced over as she watched someone flip the open sign on a store, the first one open this day. She jotted down a few ideas, like arguments for small business and such as she jogged excitedly over to the shop, hesitating only a moment before she slipped inside, grinning with a soft friendliness as she looked around. Hmm. It smelled good in here!

jay smiled at the sight as a new towns folk came into his cafe. it was really nice to see people take intrest in his shop, unlike his father.

" good morning!" he managed to say with a now straining smile," would you like a cup of coffee?"

Rachel excitedly shuffled towards the counter. She hoped this place would be good. Because she had bean to some of the nastiest places in the world, and she had tasted their meals. She could have frankly lived without it. But she doubted this place would be nasty. The smell was heavenly on its own!!

"Hi there. You guys just opened right?" She grinned at him excitedly. "What sort of breakfast things do you have?"

"Well, we got coffee," he joked," but we also have bagels, croissants, muffins, and almost any breakfast food you can think of, as long as your request is reasonable, and I can find the right spell," he laughed.

"Oooo... how much will two eggs, bacon and toast be?" She smiled thoughtfully as she reached into her pocket after setting her notepad and camera on the counter and pulled out a little wallet with intricate charms and symbols in the leather.

"Hey Lucifer wanna go get some coffee it looks like the shop just opened." Axel said looking down at his life long pet. The two of them tended to stop by the coffee shop enough to be considered regulars but hadn't been by in a few days. ~Some coffee would be nice.~ Aj thought to himself as the pair crossed the street Lucifer leading the way almost bouncing with joy.
