He also has a propensity for extreme breathtaking violence. He is good with many weapons, but the main ones he uses are his fists and a few guns though he does carry a large dagger on his person. Despite his criminal background, Vane isn’t a horrible man. Merely out to take care of himself as he has been turned on far too many times. He has a lot of brute strength packed into his body, but he is also intelligent and sometimes quite dangerous due to intelligence alone. He’s rough, crude, lewd, brutal and sometimes a bit self-loathing. He holds betrayal as the worst of the sins one can commit. And can be quite passionate when he finds something he loves. Incredible at improvising he tends to be quite lustful and will chase any gender. Though at this moment his only interest is Lukas Vinter and he plans to keep it that way. He doesn’t like to be pushed around or told what to do as he is the master of his own life and fate in his mind. Vane does not care what your gender is, if you anger him too much he will kill you if he gets the chance. He’s a man you want as your ally rather than your enemy, plain and simple. History Vane’s past isn’t exactly something most people know about. When he was younger he was taken from his parents and found his way onto a pirate crew. The man who captained the crew changed and forced the men on his crew into hard labor at a lumber camp. Vane’s life quickly became that a child slave, owned by the man who lost his will to sail the seas and instead controlled those who once were his crew by forcing them into this labor. Eventually Vane found a way to escape and he easily became a feared man on the high seas. No one really knows how he escaped but eventually he would come full circle forced to make a choice that would return him to the man who once owned him. His first plans went south and he was left for dead and from there he dug his way out of a shallow grave and slaughtered the man, from there he took the men left in the lumber camp and brought the back to Nassau with him, taking over the island from those who had betrayed him in more than a few ways. Since then he has had a grip on the island and no plans to release it, even if that means stooping to admitting he is too weak to take on the fight against the Navy himself. Other Information Gunna put this here, yes Charles Vane is a character from the show Black Sails however he is also a RL pirate and historical figure and so it should be noted that I am not trying to steal anyone’s character. I am use Zach Mcgowen as his face and bit of the history from the show but he was a real life historical figure first. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Shrewd and ruthless he often believes himself the only one capable of controlling Nassau and fighting off the Navy. However right now with Nassau in the hands of Charles Vane he has little choice but to work with the man if he wants to see the island safe. That said he is not above using this to his advantage to see the island under his control. Vane and Flint are far from friends and this is well known. His charism is a masking for something darker, a deep simmering rage and a propensity towards breathtaking and incredible violence. In this sense he is perhaps Vane’s equal, both men being incredibly skilled in combat. His mission is get revenge against England for wrongs it did to him and he will not rest until he sees it completed. History Very few people know the story behind Flint. Before Flint became Flint he was James McGraw. The child of a carpenter from England. He served in the Royal Navy for some time until he met Thomas Hamilton, an arristocrat looking to clean up piracy in the Bahamas and make New Providence Island a British Colony. Flint would start an affair with the man despite his martial status to a woman. Most people assumed the affair was with Thomas’ wife Miranda. Eventually they would find out the truth and his enemies would make Thomas disappear. This would lead Flint to steal Miranda away for her safety and go to Nassau with her. Little is know to what happened to Miranda after that but somehow she has vanished. Soon after arriving Flint gained a crew and began sailing. He would bring in more prizes than any pirate on the island and eventually begin the rivalry between himself and Charles Vane. Flint’s hatred for the Navy and England is the only thing greater than his hatred for Vane and at this point if working with Charles Vane is what it takes to get his revenge he will do it. He is a well respected member of Flint’s crew and earned his position for a reason. Flint and he have had their differences but in the end he has come to realization that Flint, in his eyes, is the only one who can truly save Nassau. While he has no ill will towards Vane it is know he is one of two men to face Charles Vane on equal terms and survive the fight. The other being Flint. Billy is so well trusted most everyone on the crew would willing die for him. He’s smart, perhaps more so than most pirates. Flint being another educated man in the crew. History Billy was born in Kensington, London. His parents were anti-impressment activists and printed pamphlets to protest. They made sure Billy was "lettered" so as to understand and carry on the protest. One day, while Billy was handing out pamphlets, he was forcefully conscripted into the Royal Navy, know as "press ganging". He spent the next three years in bonded labour in the navy, until his ship was captured by pirates led by James Flint. Billy took the opportunity to kill his former captor, and chose to become a pirate, because he felt he couldn't go home and face his family after doing so. Leslie is distant, doesn’t get close to others and doesn’t want to. She holds a hatred for most men and would rather see them dead. At this point she cares little for who she kills. If anything she’s a hard woman with a murderous temper when pressed. She doesn’t take shit from anyone and only listens to her Captain. Often ignoring orders from even the Quartermaster. She is hard to gain the trust of and she has no problem making that clear. It is best to steer clear of the woman. She has a serious dislike of women who fold under men or act like they can’t handle things on their own. She’s smart, quick witted, sarcastic and rude. Above all else their is one piece to Leslie that makes her more dangerous and that is she’s deaf. Which leads her to a tendency towards outbursts due to paranoia someone might try to use the weakness against her. She has been almost killed before, left to die before escaping the noose. Because of this she wears a piece of cloth much like a bandanna around her next to hide the deep scarring. History Leslie’s past isn’t a pretty one and it is not something she truly cares to talk about. And if pressed she will more than likely shoot you rather than explain. Leslie was born to Johnathon Black and Linda Black. She was neither the youngest or oldest child but she was the one her father chose to abuse and harm in every way possible. The violence started when the woman was very young, young enough that she was only two. At age two she would develop meningitis. She was expect to die. He father began his abuse of the weak child then and somehow she lived. Perhaps a curse rather than a blessing because her life would turn into a series of abusive attacks on the girl. However during her illness something triggered the gene she carried in here, the Deathless gene, which in a sense is a gene that makes any human immortal. It is not a species per say but it does make the human stand out from other humans. The gene affected her in a way that she lived however lost her hearing but in return would gain the ability to read lip. Because of this skill when he father degraded her and did as he liked all she had to do was turn her head and she could block out at least part of the abuse. The blessing to the curse of being born into the Black family. Leslie was used by her father to make money for him as she grew up, working in a tavern so she could bring home money for his debts. She was further betrothed to a man’s son to cover her father’s debts to him. When she was 13 Leslie she was set to go on a date with the older man and he used this chance to do as he pleased. The woman would lash out and kill him. Something snapped and the next day she would come home after using the paycheck meant for her father buy a gun, a cutlass and knife. She slaughtered everyone in her family except the youngest boy. She had her reasons for leaving him alive and from there she fled, taking to a life of piracy, adapting to easily mask her gender until she earned the respect of pirates for her murderous and violent ways. In the end she would be captures and sentenced to hang. And hang she did...but die she did not. This would be when she realized her Deathless gene. After escaping the noose, barely able to stand she killed those who tried to murder her and attempted to escape. It would be when she was barely able stand a pirate Captain would find the woman and protect her from those chasing her. Leslie would come to trust the woman and work for her under her flag. Leslie at the moment has a lover in another port, a woman named Maria, and her loyalty is to Francisca and no one else. Leslie is not someone you toy with nor threaten. She is an incredibly useful ally and can even get men to follow her due to her murderous ways and ability to fight just as well as any man. Other Information 0 players like this post! Like? |
