Updates:

~ Dean Ederwin, Piper Ederwin, William Grey & Theodore Weaver have drawn a herd out of Noxton City. Zombies might be soon crowding the Highway, keep an eye out!

Current Season: Summer

Current Locations Available

The City

Noxton City. Though it took a couple of days for people here to even believe that the outbreak was actually happen everyone surely wanted to be the first to flee when zombies started appearing. Of course, not many of them made it out as the main route out of the city got absolutely stuck in a traffic jam the city had never seen before. Even if it is pretty filled with infected, some streets are clear enough and in such a big place there must surely be a lot of stuff worth scavenging for.

zombcity-1592162.jpgThe Highway ☠Potential DE☠

This highway can take you many, many miles away from Noxton. It is through here that the lucky ones to get out of Noxton on time went driving, trying to find greener pastures. Ironic, seeing as how the Highway crosses for the majority of its length through the rural areas of the state.

zombhighway-1592165.jpgRural Areas

Large open fields, ponds and valleys. They surround the highway. Sprawled over, sometimes two or three miles apart from each other stand different farms. Many home to the infected, someones completely destroyed by scavengers, others healthy and offering good shelter for the night. In the rural areas we can also find the woods and some small towns.

zombruralarea-1592167.jpgThe Woods

They are dispersed through the rural areas and not completely connected meaning we have small, medium and large sections. There are several creeks and streams, some of which might produce flash floods in the wet season and other which might dry during the summer, making it difficult to obtain water. Here you can find different game: squirrels, hares, deer and of course, zombies.

zombwoods-1592172.jpgThe Town

This town is located in the rural area, approximately 300 hundred miles away from Noxton City. It is abandoned and there are some zombies around, or maybe many and you just haven't noticed. There is a pharmacy, a gas station and a general goods store. But are there any supplies left?

Dean Ederwin ~ 27 ~ Male ~ Location: Noxton City ~ Mentions: Piper Ederwin, open for approach

His face was expressionless as he pulled his knife out of the geeks temple with a gurgling sound and cleaned it on its clothes. Almost a week had gone by and violently stabbing what used to be the skull of a living, breathing person was just now starting to stop feeling so heavy on his conscience. The man's green eyes looked up to his sister, who had just now swung her bat at one of the infected, smashing its brains and making it fall to the pavement, dead for a second time. He noticed how she then looked up at him, and after giving one firm, reassuring nod they continued walking again through the now empty street.

As opposed to most people, they hadn't gotten out of the city, they hadn't been in the city to begin with for they had lived in a town approximately 200 miles away. The thing is, they had heard on the radio that a safe zone had been setup by the military here in Noxton, when they arrived apparently the safe zone had now become the dead zone. Going back wasn't an option either and they were running low on supplies. That was why Dean convinced his sister to go into the city, having left their truck parked outside of it and hidden by trees and bushes.

Piper Ederwin ~ 23 ~ Female ~ Location: Noxton City ~ Mentions: Dean Ederwin, open for approach

Unlike her brother, Piper did not bother to clean the bat for she was certain she would be swinging it again fairly soon. Truth was, she did not like the idea of being here one bit. She hated the city before, she was going to keep hating it now. All she had now were more reasons to despise it. Still, it was true that they wouldn't get too far with what they had and that there were many needed things that they didn't even have for starters. She then placed her icy blue eyes on a sign that was on the next block of the street, "Dean, over there" She said, trying to keep her voice as low as she could and still have her brother hearing her. A supermarket.

She watched him nod once more, "Let's go" He answered. They moved swiftly and silently, luckily there were no geeks in the street they had to cross to get to the next block. Dean motioned her to wait outside, she just mouthed a small insult to his brother and entered with him. There was no way she was letting him go in alone. Rifle and handgun in hand, respectively, the siblings entered the building. She saw a broken can on the floor and kicked it, making enough noise for any zombie inside there to want to come and check it out. Soon enough two of them appeared and the put them down. A third one appeared and got too close to Dean to Piper's liking while he was taking care of one of the first two. She cracked the back of the zombies head, killing it.

She kicked the can once more, just to make sure. Nothing else was coming at them but still they carefully walked around the supermarket, guns at ready. Living people were dangerous too, and no broken cans would draw them near. They double-checked the market was empty and only then did they start to look for supplies. People had almost teared down the place and there wasn't that much left. But one had to know how and where to look.

Alastair Vance || 24 || Male || Location: Rural Area next to The Highway || Mentions: None/Open

He kept his sight on surveying what was around him, his hand tightly gripping the advanced hunter's bow anxiously. About an hour ago Alastair spotted some walkers trudging along the street, about two of them he liked to pronounce the zombies as walkers because that is all they could do, walk. He was in a long grassy field and was down wind of the creatures when he had found them, they where a easy kill a rifle bullet to the brain and they were dead once again. It was hot and humid but the man didn't ever complain, he had grown used to the heat while growing up so it never really served as a problem to the man.

The man held his horses split reins in his other hand, keeping them nice and relaxed while Zeus kept at a nice easy jog. The faint sound of the horses hooves clipping against the hot road and the small squeaking of the saddle rubbing against the stirrups filled the silenced air. Alastair didn't have any destination that he desired to go to all he was really looking for was a place that was plentiful of supplies to scavenge and then move on.

Cassandra De Barros | 23 | Location: Rural Area (by Highway)| Mentions: Alastair (indirectly), Open for approach

Cassandra walked through a rather grassy field. Lucky for her, there weren't many walkers in the certain area she was at. The woman was walking away from her previous home, which had been overrun by the undead and, to Cassie's knowledge, only she had escaped, since she had no idea if her sister had survived the medium-sized herd or not. She sighed, not wanting to think about her possibly dead sister. Since all of her family were dead- except for Alexandra, as its already been explained- one of her goals was to find her childhood and current best friend. Alastair Vance. He was a farmer / ranch person like her, so they had grown up living not too far from each other, but since they were a bit far from each other, they hadn't seen each other when the outbreak had happened, so she was sort of looking for him as she made her way to the city, knowing that having company would be good.

Athena, the mottled hunting hawk, who was scouting up in the air, let out a small and semi-quiet shriek, and immediately Cassie knew a walker, or more, was near by. Soon enough, about 4 walkers came into sight, the 4 not too close, but not too far either and she gripped her hand on her advanced hunting bow, quickly taking an arrow and pulling it back in the string of the bow, letting it go, the arrow hitting right in the middle of one of the walker's forehead. With a roll of her eyes, she continued walking towards them, doing the same thing with the arrow and shooting another one, this time in the eye. Now jogging, she went up to the two dead and yanked the arrows out of the two, quickly using them to stab the other two in the head, killing them as well. Not seeing any more, Athena dove down, 'hovering' in the air next to Cassie, her wings flapping quickly.

After quickly checking the pockets of the dead, she continued on her way, walking in the direction of Noxton city, her destination because the city was so big, it was impossible all supplies had been ransacked from there. With her bag still on her back, the young woman trekked through the grassy fields, sort of aimed in the direction of the highway, seeing it would lead her to the city, not that she didn't know how to get there. Apparently getting tired, her hawk flew down and landed on the right shoulder of Cassie, hoping to stay there for as long as needed.

Paige Valentine ▸ 24 ▸ Location : Rural Area (by Highway) ▸ Mentions : None (Open)】

Paige was just another one of those lucky people who made it out of the city in time. Most people didn't pay attention to the clues and paid their price. She had heard it all over the news and even saw glimpses of it first hand during her shifts. Paige was definitely hesitant to leave at first, knowing she'd be going against everything her job is for; protect the people. This was before received a call from the local headquarters telling her that it would be okay if she left and that she could stop by to grab supplies before leaving.

She drove her white vehicle and headed to the highway after stopping at the police station to grab those supplies. To her surprise, there weren't many other cars on the highway; not yet. Paige continued to drive for quite a while until she reached the rural area that was far out from the city. Her eyes moved down to the gas meter and it was still half full but she wanted to stock up on gas anyway. She pulled into a gas station that was next to a few markets. No one seemed to be around but she picked up her pistol and put it in her pocket for safety reasons. She strolled up to the main store and checked if anyone was inside. Fortunately, the door was open and she walked inside. There were a few supplies left from what looked like a large raid and she walked in and out through the isles; grabbing supplies such as food (mostly vegetables) and spare gas tanks from the back room also.

Once she'd walked back outside and filled her car with a little more gas, something caught Paige's eye. She looked across the road through the trees and saw a figure of someone mounted on a horse traveling the opposite way. Those 'things' she'd seen back in the city were definitely not capable of riding a horse so she let out a call and waved one hand while her other was in her pocket gripping the pistol.

William Gray ~ 24 ~ Male ~ Location: The end of The Highway; Driving into Noxton City. Mentions~ No one. Open for approach

William willed the car to sputter those last few miles into the city he was under the assumption was a safe zone. As the car rolled in past the first few buildings he couldn't hold back the waves of disappointment that crashed into him. This wasn't a safe ground. It was a war zone. He could see infected bodies littering the streets and his stomached churned. He was going to puke. Just then, the car let out a loud sputter. Once....Twice, weaker this time, Nothing. It was out of juice, the battery probably shot as well. "Shit!" William whisper yelled to himself before getting louder. "Shit no! No!" His voiced cracked with desperation as he slammed his hands on the steering wheel, sucking in a breath at the sudden pain it caused.

He pressed his sweat-slicked forehead to the black leather covered steering wheel and rubbed his dully aching hands. This could not be happening. He knew he was almost on empty but he thought he'd be able to get farther than the first intersection the city. {This goddamn old clunker. Giving out on me like that. How dare it!} William's breathing grew heavier with the initial panic of realizing this truck was going to do him no good anymore. After a few more minutes he had managed to calm himself down and sat up. This was no time for moping. He decided that even though he knew it wasn't going to do him any good he would sit in the truck for a little while longer. After all, it was the only thing he had left of his father besides his knife, he couldn't well just up and leave it.

Bandit Blaze Pheonix Grayson ¤ 26 ¤ Currently traveling in ~ The woods ¤ mentions (no one) ¤ open to aporoach

Bandit Blaze silently treads through slender trees, weaving through them without making any loud sounds. In his left hand he held his hatchet, in the right his home made gun knife duet. Or at least that's what bandit prefers to call it, a duet. It is a straight plastic club like thing that at the end held his knife. In the front, he held the gun that was also attatched to the club. In this sense, if one fails he always has a back up. Bandit always thought in this way. He always preferred to have a back up.
Bandit stops in his tracks, hearing a familiar growl. Not that of a walker, but that of a animal. "Predators? How?" He thought. He looked around, trying to spot the sound. There was no explanation for the sound. "It sounded like a lion.." he thought. His heart sank. "Shit. Not again. No.. No.. Please noo.." he whispered, falling to his knees. His hands dropped the weapons they held and raised to his eyes. "Fuck mwezi... Why do you still haunt me?!" He said, crying. He was now starting to hear it, and he was sure that if he looked up he would see her, laying on the ground being eaten again. Just like it had happened originally. This was all part of his disorder. He was constantly haunted by lasting memories of his pet, his family, those who taunted him.
Bandit was on the floor, crying and begging for it to go away. "Please.. Go away go away" he cried. The poor male was so out of it he hadnt noticed the on coming zombie, until he heard the real growl. "Shit!" He said, rolling to all fours and grabbing his nearby weapons. With blurred eyes he stands up, a head rush hitting hard. He had to stand still for a couple of seconds, giving the cannibal a couple of moments to come closer, reaching out and grabbing the boy. "Shit!" He said with wide eyes now back to reality. He kicked the thing away, then went at it, swinging his axe at the monsters head. As he sliced into it blood spirted everywhere, including his face. A this was heard by Bandit, the sound of the zombie falling to the ground, but still growling. He stepped on the head, cussing it out.

Alastair Vance || 24 || Male || Location: Rural Area next to The Highway || Mentions: Paige Valentine(directly)

The sound of what seemed to be somebody hollering in the distance took the man out of his thoughts. He quickly had Zeus turn to the side only to pull back on the reins as he gave the horse a faint yet firm 'whoa'. In a instant he had let go of the reins grabbing a arrow from it's quiver before notching it and drawing it all the way to the corner of his mouth, his eyes scanned the surrounding landscape. To his complete surprise he saw a figure next to a white car in a ransacked gas station, it waved a hand in the air hollering to him. Alastair furrowed his eyebrows in confusion yet he couldn't help but feel the tense muscles of his shoulder's and back relax slightly seeing that it wasn't a walker but a survivor.

He withdrew his arrow but kept it notched, sometimes survivor's were as deadly as a walker maybe even more. Though right now he hoped that this survivor was friendly, not the ones that wanted to kill him just to take his supplies. The thought of supplies made him really tempted to go over to the gas station were the survivor was and scavenge for more supplies but he really didn't want to risk mistaking this suppose 'friendly' survivor as a hostile one. The only thing Alastair could think of doing was just keep himself and Zeus stay put, the arrow notched ready in the bow just in case anything happened and hope that this was a friendly survivor.

Paige Valentine ▸ 24 ▸ Location : Rural Area (by Highway) ▸ Mentions : Alastair Vance (Directly)】

Paige saw the figure draw what looked like a bow and arrow and immediately clenched her hand on her pistol and raising it, hiding it behind the car. After a few tense moments she saw that they had lowered their weapon and she did also. She wished to move closer but her instincts were telling her to stay put. She squinted her eyes and looked around, trying to come up with a plan. All of a sudden, it hit her. She reached inside the car and pulled out her police officer uniform, holding it loosely in front of her chest hoping to gain the person's trust. Paige also pulled out some of the supplies she had gotten out from inside the car and placed them on the ground, showing that they could also get some.

Cassandra De Barros | 23 | Location: Rural Area (by Highway)| Mentions: Alastair (Directly, sorta), Paige (Directly, sorta) Open for approach

Cassie had been walking for a while when she spotted a parked white car in the distance, a clean one, with a survivor inside, who seemed to be long-distance communicating with someone. Squinting her eyes against the sun, she could barely make out the silhouette of a man- at least she thought it was a man- on a horse, a bow an arrow in his hand and his figure looking at the woman in the car. Something about the survivor on the horse seemed familiar. It was odd. She thought for a moment, her mind coming to a specific person. No, it couldn't be!

The woman didn't believe it to be so, she just stood there and watched, sort of a long ways from the two, but close enough to see them, wanting to make sure it was him before she actually acted like an idiot and ran and greeted him. She clicked her tongue quietly, calling the hawk to come down to her on the ground and the hawk did so, landing on the ground. She watched, needing to make sure it was him. Alastair, her childhood friend. She stood up straight, but was too far to be noticed by the two strangers, since they were focused on each other, yet she was close enough to possible hear them if they spoke and to see if it was really her friend.

Dean Ederwin ~ 27 ~ Male ~ Location: Noxton City, leaving ~ Mentions: Piper Ederwin, open for approach

Dean looked around the supermarket, the violence of the plundering that had taken place in here made living people look even more savage and desperate than the geeks. Still, desperate many times meant confused and overwhelmed by the situation which, therefore, also meant that some very useful things had gone unnoticed. Himself and his sister had found a total of six canned goods (beans and some canned tomato soup), two bags full of granola and a box of chocolate cereals cereals, a delicacy in his eyes . Not as much as they were hoping to get but good enough given the state of the store. What they did find, though, were a lot of useful camping supplies. Apparently most people had wanted to stay locked at their homes, the fools.

Dean could get his hands on a good compass, more paracord, a medium yet good-quality hatchet and what to him was the most valuable object of all this scavenge, even more than the chocolate cereals: a water purifying bottle. "People are stupid, Pipes" He told his sister to what she replied with a simple, "I know". They then took some more minutes to accommodate everything in their backpacks and to get ready to go out again. When they did, the were once more careful but, to their pleasure, no geek had stumbled onto that street while they were inside the supermarket. "We should look for a pharmacy now, don't you think?" He heard his sister ask. "Yeah, that's a good idea. I think I saw one when we were entering the city, not that sure though" Dean explained.

They decided it was worth a shot and once again moved swiftly and quietly through the streets, avoiding the ones where there were six or more geeks and taking done any stray one they found. Soon enough they were two streets away from the city exit were they had hidden their truck.

Piper Ederwin ~ 23 ~ Female ~ Location: Noxton City, leaving ~ Mentions: William Gray

His brother was indeed right, it was a pharmacy. No geeks inside, no people inside, much more less ransacked than the supermarket. They entered, she barricaded the entrance just in case and quickly started looking for useful medications. She was the one more acquainted with meds, seeing as how her best friend had been a nurse and loved speaking about it, non-stop. What once she was irritated by she now thanked.

She could find some general-spectrum antibiotics, tylenol, cephalexin and some multivitamins. She then managed to get cotton, bandages, alcohol and hygiene necessities such as soap and well, female necessities. She stored everything in her backpack and went to tell Dean she was done to find him grabbing a couple of small, black boxes which she immediately recognized, "Really Dean? Really?" She asked, a disapproving look on her face. "What? Can't someone get lucky in the apocalypse?" He replied, lifting an eyebrow. Piper huffed and shook her head, walking past him. "Was just kidding, Peeps" He said and leaving the small packages behind followed her sister.

They had already walked the two streets left, and when she lifted her eyes to look at the place where the truck was parked she stopped dead on her tracks and quickly pulled out her handgun. Dean, having apparently noticed earlier, was already aiming his at the unknown man in the unknown truck that was parked right next to theirs. The bushes had proved to be a good cover and the black haired individual hadn't seem to notice their vehicle.

William Gray ~ Male ~ 24 ~ Location: Noxton City; In his (dead) truck, Mentions: Piper and Dean Ederwin

William had his head leaned back on the headrest, his eyes closed. The steady rise and fall of his shoulders the only sign that he was still alive. After a few more minutes of this peaceful silence he lowered his head and let his eyes open, only to be met with the sight of two people pointing guns at him. One girl and one guy. He jumped a bit, his blue eyes flying wide open, and gripped the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white. He took a shaky breath before holding his hands up in a sign of surrender. He didn't want to fight these guys, especially since they looked like they could snap him in half with no remorse.

William soon realized they weren't going to lower their weapons so he got out of his truck and walked around to the front of it. From here he could see the two better it was causing his heart to pound. He kept having to tear his eyes away from the male because Holy Hades this guy was attractive. Taking a breath he looked up at the girl. He could risk them thinking he was checking her out. It was better than them finding out the truth. This guy didn't look like the type who put up with that kind of stuff but God William couldn't help but to hope he did. He continued to sneak glances towards Dean. He opened his mouth a couple times but couldn't seem to get his words to come out. With a sigh he stopped trying and just held his hands up, looking a lot like a helpless puppy.

Dean Ederwin ~ Male ~ 27 ~ Location: Noxton City, almost out ~ Mentions: William Grey

Dean had a very serious, intense expression on his face. The man wasn't the first living person they encountered, actually; he was the third. And no good things happened with the other two, even if they managed to get out of those situations without killing anyone. Shooting non-vital spots? Maybe, but they hadn't actually killed them. They were just protecting themselves and Dean wasn't going to make the mistake of openly trusting a stranger, better a bad person known than a good one yet to meet. Still, he did notice that the man was unarmed, at least he didn't have firearms and that was a very big point going for them. "You bit? Scratched?" Was the first thing he asked, if he was there was not asking many more questions, really. It sounded heartless and Dean didn't like the idea of shooting a living person down but if he was indeed bit or scratched he wouldn't be a living person much longer. Dean noticed the constant glancing that was targeting his sister and then him, repeatedly. He took it as nervousness though and didn't give much attention to it. After all, he knew that having someone point a gun at you wasn't precisely the more reassuring experience ever.

Piper Ederwin ~ Female ~ 23 ~ Location: Noxton City, almost out ~ Mentions: William Grey (indirectly)

Piper remained silent, gun aimed and pose steady. She shared that decisive, no-nonsense feel with her brother and no one who saw her would have doubt she was more than willing to pull the trigger. Nonetheless, she was also a very observant girl and something about this unknown man told her that, although he surely was also willing to defend himself if needed, he did not have ill-intentions. Anyways, this were no longer times were she would trust her gut all that easily. She let her brother do the talking, simply because surprisingly, he usually had a little bit more tact than her when treating with other living survivors. That is, unless the others were children or scared, very nervous people, then she had the upper hand with interactions. Both her and her brother awaited for the man's answer and understood what would happen if the answer was a yes.

Samantha Jynx Wolfson ¤ 23 years ¤ location~ Rural area, making way to highway ¤ mentions~ figures in the distance who are-cassandra, paige, and alastair (behind all of them)

Samantha slowly made her way through the thick brush, her two friends following closely by her side silently. As she walks she can hear walkers start growling behind them. She looks at her two guards and puts her hands in fists, this telling them to be silent and keep going. Hania whined softly, earning a short glare from samantha. As she continued to walk, in the distance she could see three figures all somewhat spread apart. "Humans, or more of those things..?" She thought. For once she got tired of the meat eating stalkers she turns around and says one simple word, "ataka". With this one russian word, the two dogs ran at the zombies, pushing them to the ground and held them there, luckily there were only the two so they had an easy job. Samantha then went at the two, jumping on the first zombies head. The last one she sent her knife through. "Alright, sledovat" Samanth said to her dogs who were still growling at the lifeless bodies, once they heard those words however, they did follow her as they continued to the highway.

Bandit Blaze Pheonix Grayson ¤ 26 ¤ Currently traveling in ~ The woods (now near the highway)¤ mentions (no one) ¤ open to aporoach

Bandit sighed, holding his head for a moment, looking at the now permanently dead human. "Fuck..." he whispered softly. After a few seconds he stood straight, collecting himself then went forward with his journey. He looked towards the highway, seeing what looked to him like zombies. However, they werent zombies. They were humans. But how was the disturbed boy supposed to know?

William Gray ~ Male ~ 24 ~ Location: Noxton City ~ Mentions: Dean and Piper Ederwin

When the man was the one to speak, William closed his eyes and silently cursed his luck. God... Even this man's voice was attractive. He opened his eyes again and forced himself to look at the man without blushing. "No. I'm safe. Just.... Stranded" At that he shot a glare back at the truck and then redirected his gaze back to the man. Before he could really think to stop himself, his mouth was open and he was blurting out, " Holy Hades could you please just put down the guns. I can't think with them pointed at me like that!" He let out a heavy breath, unable to hide the regret that flooded his mediterranean blue eyes, dampening them. Rule Number One of dealing with people who are pointing guns at you: Don't test them.

William forced his gaze to shift and stay on the girl, hoping she wouldn't realize why he was doing so. If he were to look over at the man his neck would start to burn with what he knew was a blush. He couldn't take the man's intense gaze. {It should be illegal for attractive men to look at people like that. Or they should be forced to wear ridiculous outfits to cancel out the effect} His blue eyes were slightly pleading with the girl to make her partner stop. To anyone but her it might have looked like he was checking her out but she'd be able to see the way he snuck glances over to the man she was traveling with and would subconsciously lick his bottom lip.

| Micaela Kanze || 18 || Forest || No one mentioned; open to approach |

The blonde’s mismatched hues roamed the trees – watching the shadows warily for a walker or other threat. She swept her cautious gaze through the foliage from her vantage point upon her ebony stallion, she clutched the worn leather of the reins in one hand; her other hovering to her side, ready to grab her a dagger or her revolver from its holster. She blinked once and pulled on the reins to halt him with a gentle command in soft Spanish, she dismounted fluidly; tying the stallion to a fallen log as she checked her snare from the night before. It had a small rabbit in, it had very little meat on it, but it was dead now – and Micaela wasn’t in a position to be picky. She swallowed and picked up the corpse, using one of her silver daggers to cut the wire from around its neck before placing it into her backpack with her blankets and what other little food she possessed. She licked her lower lip, her mouth feeling dry from the rationing she had placed herself under – no water until she’d set up camp. She’d only set off a few hours ago, so it would be a long day.

The stallion blew noisily and she whirled, moving swiftly to untie him and resettle in the saddle – the unsheathed dagger glinting in the sunlight as she gripped it so hard her knuckles turned white, her mount was one of her greatest protectors and weakness; his nose could smell the geeks if the wind was in their favour, and he could sense their approach – but just as he could sense them, they could sense him; a sizable meal for a fair few of them. Mica refused to abandon him to his own devices though; because he’d soon enough be dead – the very same reason he lacked a name. She cast her wary gaze over everything again; looking for what had spooked him, she relaxed when she saw it was only half a corpse, crawling and dragging its deformed, decaying body across the floor – the stench making the lean blonde gag and urge her steed forward. She hesitated a moment; considering putting it out of its misery as she focused on the weight of her magnum. She gritted her teeth and shook her head; she couldn’t waste the bullet; not when they were already dwindling. She’d have to go into town soon enough to find some more ammunition for the anaconda.

She urged the stallion into a canter, his inky coloured coat appearing mottled under the rays of light that streamed through the trees. They rode for what must’ve been an hour before coming across a stream, and Micaela relaxed her grip on the reins to let him drink the cool water. She looked around, still perched on his back – stretching and rolling her neck to loosen up after riding so long, the were close to the highway, which suited Micaela just fine; they could follow the tarmac all the way into and out of the cities, as long as they didn’t get overrun. She stroked the stallion’s hot side, somewhat grateful for his presence as she rubbed moisture from the fine dark hairs. The blonde finally pulled his head up, patting his neck before turning towards the road – exhaling softly and saying a silent prayer to whatever forsaken gods had kept her alive this far, praying that she would encounter some good fortune. Her quirky mismatched eyes opened and looked forward, once again cool and emotionless as the ground became harder – nearing the disused road.
