You're part of a team of sled dogs exploring the northern half of Canada in the early 1600s with one of the first European explorers being your mushers. Most of the team was brought from overseas so you're in unfamiliar territory. The going is tough and you not only have to pull a heavy sled with the other dogs but must also help with hunting. As you get further and further into the wild, you notice your master seems to not be feeling well. He must've picked up a human disease in the last village you stopped at. A blizzard has halted the team for days now and you haven't seen your master nor been fed since the first day of the blizzard nor is there any sign of movement coming from the tent. Your team became separated from the other teams and you have no idea where the nearest human village is, the blizzard having blown away the trail. It would seem your only options are to either turn feral or die

Character Sheets
The Guidelines
- All of Lioden's roleplay rules apply
- Dogs (and wolves) do not have a dominance hierarchy. (Meaning no "alphas", "betas", "omegas" etc). This is not up for debate.
- No overly aggressive dogs. Sled dogs must be friendly (or at the very least tolerant) in order to work together!
- No wolves or wolfdogs/hybrids. Eventually, some of the bitches will be allowed to rarely have litters with Gray Wolves but the sled team must be pure dog.
- None of the dogs may be significantly smaller or larger then others on the team. This is due to the dogs needing to have similar speeds, gait changes and endurance level to be efficient.
- No dogs under 3 years of age or over 9 years. This is due to the way dogs grow and age.
- All dogs must have thick winter coats, neither too thin nor too feathery (examples: alaskan huskies generally have coats that are too thin and "wooly" malamutes have too feathery coats) otherwise their coats would be detrimental to them.
- All of the dogs have an endurance build. Your dog is not going to be slender like modern day alaskan huskies. (Example of a sprint dog build vs endurance build)
- The dogs are used to raw meat. Kibble hasn't been invented yet and most sled dogs aren't fed kibble anyway.
- Dogs who are still wearing collars (with or without part of the chain attached) will get it caught in bushes and such.
- Posts must be at least one paragraph (5 sentences) with a preference for longer.
- Must be active. Users who go a week without posting will have their dogs killed off unless you have previously contacted me.
- Litter sizes, injuries and fights will be decided with dice rolls. (see below)
- Absolutely no godmoding or powerplaying.
- No "Mary Sues". Your character can not be perfect. All characters must absolutely have weaknesses.
- Hate the character not the player. NO DRAMA. I don't want to have to feel like I'm babysitting.
Allowed Breeds
- Alaskan Malamute
- Greenland Dog
- Canadian Eskimo Dog
- Siberian Husky (must be on the larger/heavier side)
- Samoyed (with less feathery fur)
- Mixes of the above
Other breeds/mixes may be allowed on a case by case basis as long as they have similar size/coat types and a good back story.
Positions
These are the positions the dogs had on the team. The dog's personality must be fitting with the rank they were assigned. Keep in mind these positions were assigned by the humans, not the dogs, and can be fluid to a certain extent (ex: a lead dog was injured therefore another dog had to be put in his place).
- Lead Dogs (2) -
The most levelheaded dogs, able to guide the team around dangers, and are the dogs who respond to the musher. Perceptive, critical thinkers, intelligent, dependable, highly respected and trusted by the rest of the team.
Tyrian x Akira
- Swing Dogs (2) -
Dogs in training to be the leaders. They guide the team in the correct arc after the leaders when turning. Level headed followers who can lead when called upon.
Nukka x Inalu
- Team Dogs (4) -
The muscle. They maintain the speed. Not independent thinkers, they may also be the dumbest of the bunch. Any young dogs (3 yrs) will be here, as likely will be dogs new to the team. May also just be dogs who are not fit to be leaders or swing dogs due to whatever reason.
Aatu x Jukka
Dixie x Lucifer
- Wheel Dogs (2) -
The largest dogs on the team as they take most of the weight during climbs and starts. Must be even tempered and least likely to spook.
Moza x Tank

Litters
- You must pm me and get approval before attempting to breed your bitch with a gray wolf.
- Breedings with gray wolves have a 50/50 chance of death for the bitch. Don't try to breed your character with one unless you're ok with them dying. All dice rolls are final.
- All puppies will die if born in winter. Period.
- Litter sizes will be determined with a dice roll and can have between 1 - 10 puppies. There will be a small chance of death for the bitch and each of the puppies and a high chance of death for the puppies if the litter is born in fall. (Puppies who do not find rpers before 12 weeks will be killed off.)
- Puppy genders will also be determined by a 50/50 dice roll.
- Each dog will be given a genetic string based on it's color and the possible colors allowed in the given breed(s) upon joining the roleplay. Only I will know these strings in order to prevent people forcing relationships in an attempt to get pretty colors.
- Colors of the puppies will then be determined by the combination of the genetic strings. I will list the possible colors the puppies could have and the chance of them having it. Genetics Resource Rare colors will be rare.
Fights and Injuries
- All fights will last 6 posts, 3 per opponent, unless someone submits.
- I will determine the winner based on these 6 posts.
- There will be no deaths unless both players agree but there may be serious injury.
- Dice will be rolled to determine what injuries, if any, occur aside from those acquired during the rp portion.
- Possible injuries include: Puncture wounds, torn skin, pulled muscles, bruises, crushing injures
