~ Popitos are a small breed of masked creatures that come in varying subspecies depending on climate and lifestyle.
These creatures are roughly the size of a medium dog, with varying diets similar to a humans in terms of preference.
The popitos tend to come in natural colourizations with the exception of the rarer subspecies, as well as a handful of
common popitos with colour mutations. They live primarily on the ground, but have specialized adaptations in order to
properly fit their enviroment, such as:

The avian subspecies. An uncommon type of popito, the avian class has adapted
minimal feather coverage to allow very short bouts of gliding, as they spend most of their lives in the treetops where
a fall could prove deadly.

As well as the aquatic class, which has evolved to live primarily underwater and is very rarely
seen.

The class of a papito also has a strong impact on diet, understandably aquatic papitos will prefer fish or kelp, whereas
avian class would prefer seeds or small rodents. Papitos have been known to breed between subspecies, producing a mixture
of traits from both parents. A feline class may mate with a canine class, producing a popito with traits from both parents,
such as a feline tail and canine ears, and so on.

Recently, researchers have been domesticating the more common classes of popitos, producing more dog and cat-like popitos,
while also keeping the more wild-looking popitos as well. The rarer popitos have been found to be much harder to not only
find and catch, but to tame as well. In order to try and keep the domestication process from being devastating to the
populations, only a few popitos are retrieved from the wild each week, and only two uncommon classes are brought along,
as well as a single rare class popito.

Once every month, a legendary popito is brought to be domesticated by the most devoted of owners. The legendaries are
by far the hardest to domesticate, best of luck to you all.

The operation has two legendaries on hand as it sits, a quiet female who was dubbed as Riddick and her male companion,
called Na-ru. They've become mascots for the cause, as the hope here is to learn more about the popitos as a whole.
