The realization that you might not escape has drawn to the forefront of your mind but you brush it off trying to stop the tremors in your hands the thought had caused, finishing your snack and a small bit of water you’ve conserved you begin again.... but a noise sounds to your right says otherwise. A hollow shrill sound that makes you jump, like wind but followed by a low hum deep enough to vibrate through you, the nights cold has begun to seep in and so does the fear of being alone out here. Your jitters have begun again and you can’t stop them this time. Breathing deeply you draw your lantern closer and hike towards the sound as it’s the only thing you’ve heard other then the whispers; you’re drawn towards it like a moth to a flame. You pass through a gap in a heavy iron gate and under a stone arch. The pillars are crumbled and vines seap across them in attempt to hold them together Something catches at the corner of your eye and your heat stops as your head whips around to identify the threat. Your mind catches up soon enough and your fear melts into awe and curiosity, a stone guardian..
