I wrote this lil story when I was younger and I'm too attached to it now to delete it
A slight breeze drifts through the air around you. The leaves sway lightly on the tips of their branches and one unfortunate leaf breaks free and wafts gently through the wind. You walk cautiously, exploring your surroundings with extreme care.
A sudden sharp laughter pierces your ear and makes you cringe. The laughing ceases for a moment, then starts back up slightly louder as though it is closer to you. As the laughter begins and ends sporadically, fear begins to strike you deep within. 'What if this crazed monster will be the end of me?'
The terrifying noise begins to get even louder, causing your ears to hurt. Slowly, louder, sharper, your heart races. Suddenly, the laughter sounds as though it is inside of your head. It is everywhere, inescapable. With so much pain you cover your ears with your paws and fall to the ground. 'Get out of my head!'
Within but a split second it stops. Silence overwhelms you with mixed emotions of relief and fear. Light floods into your eyes as they slip open and you see a Hyena standing before you. "Hehehehehe..."it giggles."You have beetles don't you!!
The creature that almost burst your ear drums now sits in front of you like it's your pet, begging for a treat. "Can I have your beetles? The hyena stares at you so deeply it seems as though he could be staring into your soul. "Ohh you're going to play hard aren't you. Hmph. Fine. I'll trade you. Your.. Mmmm... Delicious beetles.... Mmmm.. Ah um ahem. Your beetles for some of my wares. Follow me!" the deranged creature stands up abrublty and leads you to a dusty cave.
"Hehehave a look around! If there is anything you want, you may have it! Well, as long as I get some of your delectable beetles.."
As you scan the cave, you can't help but notice the hyena staring at you. It's tongue is lolled out of its mouth and a long strand of saliva is falling from its tongue to the floor comically. The hyena gets concerned by your staring and approaches you. "Well, aren't you going to buy something?!"
