Goru's junk & wares
You come across an enormous, spooky-looking tree while walking through one of the driest parts of the savannah. There is an elephant skull embedded in the trunk of the tree. There are no water holes nor any prey for miles from where you are and it is sun-high. You decide to rest a little in the shade; it will help you cool down. As you walk near the tree, you hear some crickets. The grass around here is so dry it itches your paws. Annoying. When you are closer you realize there are all kinds of stuff either hanging from the branches of the tree or placed on top of them; skulls, feathers, colorful dyes, shiny rocks... Oh! and some water herbs. You curiously look around, is this some sort of giving tree? You reach for a water root to quench your thirst but a scream stops you. "Don't you fucking dare to touch any of my stuff before you PAY!" A lioness jumps from one of the branches, startling you! Ah! She seems to be covered in mud to hide her scent. "Can't you read pretty boy? the prices are carved on the tree!" She snarls mockingly as she gets in your face. She swishes her tail under your chin while walking away and sits near the tree. You get uncomfortably close to the tree and squint your eyes. It reads: "Pay the price before taking the item. Drop the beetles in the eye of the elephant skull or the tree hollow if i am unavailable." Oh. You push some beetles to her and take a water root, seeing you didn't have any bad intentions and paid for your item; she seems calmer. "Sorry, friend. There are too many damn thieves around here!" You ask her why she didn't place her shop somewhere more convenient. "I belong to a pride around here. That is the reason, friend. I eat well and have my lifelong friends in this pride, i can't just leave. Any other safer place is just too far to travel every day." She sighs. You ask her why are they living here, in the driest part of the savannah. "Our leader is cool and all but he is a little superstitious. He believes living far away from water source keeps the death away... or something like that." She rolls her eyes. "Enough talk about me, where are you from?"... (Niram took over the store after Goru's death and refused to change the name of it.)
