Makaio

MAKAIO is the first King of the SIDECHICK pride.

He was just an adolescent male when he left his mothers pride in search of his own destiny. One day, wandering alone in the Savannah, he stumbled upon the body of a dead lioness. He let out a mighty roar as if in honour of her life and was about to continue on when he noticed movement from the corner of his eye. Upon further inspection he noticed a pale almost irridescent cub. He leaned in close and nudged it gently with his nose and was startled by the most piercing, opaque, pupiless eyes. He picked the cub up gently by the scruff and walked on in search of a nursing lioness who he could perhaps persuade to help the little cub. As luck would have it he came across a very strange looking lioness called 'Raja'. Not to say the lioness was unappealing, in all actuality the lioness was very beautiful. Her coat was dark dark onyx with splashes of maroon and white, and her eyes were a calculating pink colour. What was strange was that she appeared to be growing a full on mane almost as if she were a male lion herself. Nevertheless she agreed to nurse the cub in return for his protection as she had lost her own litter due to not having a proper nesting area. And so as life went on, they named the cub 'Meron'. And as Meron grew she became more and more hauntingly beautiful even though on the inside her heart was cold. Raja was not especially motherly to her, only looking after her as a duty or a chore with no affection at all. But Makaio doted on the young lioness and on Meron's first heat, he claimed her as his. This is how it all began...
