The day Starlight was old enough to be sold his mother wasted no time and took her son to the trading center where the most colourful lion the young cub had ever seen came over and purchased him, once the lion put the cub down he looked into the cubs Jasper eyes and said "you don't have to worry little one you are home".
the cub looked at the older lion and asked "who are you and why did you want me as part of your pride", the king stared at the cub for a moment then said "i am the king of Hollywood Arts and i saw you in the trading center and it reminded me of when my own mother sold me as soon as i was old enough.
the cub thought about what the king said and asked him about the lion who purchased him all those years ago, when the cub said that, the king lay down and motioned for the cub to in front of him and proceded to tell the story of robin the kindest lion the king had ever known and as the cub listened he was stunned at how such kind lion with a tyrant father could be so kind and so when the king finished the story the cub asked if he would make a good king like robin and the king and when the king heard the cub ask such a question the king suddenly stood up starteling the cub and said to the young one "no child i beleve you will make a great king" when the cub heard the king say that he asked if he was going to be ok when the king passed.
The king looked at the cub and said "i know you will be ok for you have a pure heart my son, whe the king said that the cub looked shocked and said "um your highness what is your name".
the king looked shocked at what the cub had asked as it is the very same thing he had said to his father when he was first brought here, as the king recovered from his shock he replied with " my name is Supernova little Starlight", the cub thought for a moment before giving the king his reply.
"Starlight?" said the cub, the king looked into the cubs blue eyes that reminded him of his father and said " yes little one Starlight is your name for it is befitting of a king".
"um your highness"
"Supernova" replied the king,
"ok Supernova" asked the cub, " yes" replied the king. the cub thought for a moment then said "what does Starlight mean and why ask me to be king and not one of your own sons.
The king pondered the cubs question then said "Starlight means "Star" and most of my children are female and none of my three sons want to be king as they would rather be guards instead", the young one thought about his next question and said "i like Starlight and is it ok if i call you father or dad", upon hearing the cub say this the king looked down at his heir with tears in his eyes, startled the cub asked "are you alright Supernova, have i said something wrong".
the king simply smiled and lightly laughed and said "no litte Starlight you have done nothing wrong its just that i asked robin the very same thing and yes i would love that" with that said the king walked out of the den.
hearing the king say yes to his request he followed the king no his father out of the den promising to make his father proud and become a great king.
as the years passed and Starlight grew up, one day Starlight was patroling with his brothers when one of their sisters, one of the princesses came up to them and told Starlight that their father wished to him.
Upon hearing his sister say that he exused himself and proceded to the den where his father was wainting for him, he walked into the den and sat down before his father and asked "you wished to see me father".
the old king looked at his son and replied "yes Starlight as you know my time is almost here and so is your coronation and so i have called you here to say how proud I am of the strong lion you have become and to tell you to never forget who you are for you are my son and the future king of Hollywood Arts and so my son just remember that when ever you feel scared or alone or lost just look up at the stars and i will always be there when you need me".
The young lion pondered what his father said and replied "i will make you proud father and even when i will be unable to see you i know you will always be there to guide me when i need guidence and so if you will excuse i must finish my patrol" and with that the young prince walked out of the den and back over to his siblings and as the Old king watched the future king leave he too stood up and walked out onto his throne, looked up at the sky and said "well father looks like i have chosen an exceptional heir" and as soon as supernova said that the old rosette king replied "well done my son you have indeed chosen an exceptional heir and always remember my son we are one".
and so with that said the old rosette king disappeared into the wind and up to the stars and as Supernova watched his father leave he looked down at his children and subjects and said "indeed father we are one".
