Despite his cold appearance Riku treats all of his pride members with respect no matter their background however he doesn't like lions who harm others without reason. He prefers to fight with words but he will fight to defend others from harm if necessary. He has been allowed a chance of leadership after Kaeya retired which Riku has taken as an opportunity to prove how well his training has paid off. He trained his successor with all the skills that he learned during his own rule, Riku is happy to watch how Atlas does now that he is king. Riku has retired to the highest cave where he will be able to see all his land until the day he passes.
