About Charlemagne

The pride of Ardéhougue rests among the viridian cliffsides of a land far from the savanna. Here, King Charlemagne guides and protects his pride with wisdom and grace.

In times past, this land was not always peaceful. Lions strove against one another and blood spilt needlessly time and time again. Charlemagne grew up in this environment, and, after losing his own siblings and parents to this constant feud, sought to change everything. He learned quickly how to adapt to any situation thrown to him— even at the expense of an enemy's life.

With the help of his charm and his keenness, Charlemagne came to be member of many small prides, eventually integrating them with one another. He learned each individual's mind and talents over time, and he discovered how to introduce other prides to his own. Those who still sought bloodshed were banished, and those who acted upon these urges were put down.

Now, he doesn't speak much of the past. It was a time of grief and hardship for many, and he prefers it to be only a faint whisper in his lions' minds. He watches cubs play without fear and is satisfied by what he has achieved.
