Biography

◤━━━━━━━━━━━◥

THE FIRST SUCCESSOR

◣━━━━━━━━━━━◢

Binafsi was the only son of a long dead king and an unnamed lioness. Adimu, the first king of the Mapogo Basin pride, saw potential in his unusual build and took him in when he was only a cub. When the time came for an heir to the pride's throne to be elected, Binafsi was chosen over Adimu's few biological sons.

Tempered by Adimu's blatant favoritism, Binafsi grew to be self-absorbed and jealous. Many lions that once took refuge under Adimu's reign were forced from the territory, deemed unworthy to be part of the new lineage. Beneath Binafsi's merciless lust for control, the pride's population shrunk to just under half of its original numbers. Rivals and challengers alike were crushed by his much larger frame. Cubs that were seen as weak were abandoned to the wilds, most never to be seen again.

In his old age, however, the winds began to change. A newcomer upon the horizon signified hope for the struggling pride: a young rogue male from the west, that had heard rumors of Binafsi's iron grip upon Mapogo Basin.

Age and old wounds from countless battles over the years ultimately tipped the scales in the challenger's favor. Beaten but granted mercy by the rogue male, Binafsi was forced to the very outskirts of the territory that he once ruled, where he would live out his final days in solitude.
