1/19/2014: Nighthawk encountered this lioness as he began to mark out his new territory. She had been living on her own next to the river, but found herself charmed by the young male. Nighthawk showed her his spectacular new canyon cave, and she became fast friends with Heron. Thus, she became the second lioness of the newly-formed Raptorflight pride. She took on the name Kestrel for her lovely markings.

1/26/2014: Kestrel realized she was pregnant, and shared this with the other lionesses. Heron was quite enthralled, and she now fawns over Kestrel and brings back extra food for her. All of the lionesses look forward to Nighthawk's first of kin, and Nighthawk himself makes sure his borders are secure so that he may welcome his first offspring into the world.

1/29/2014: Kestrel delivered two beautiful cubs, and the pride is rejoicing to see a successful birth. Both cubs are healthy, with bright blue eyes like their father. There is plenty of food to go around, as it is the rainy season, so the lionesses celebrated with a feast.

2/13/2014: Kestrel's cubs, Bluejay and Warbler, are now out training with the other lionesses and with their father. Kestrel takes the opportunity to rest a while, and no one blames her! She is proud to have brought Nighthawk's firstborn into the world, and after a period of rest she is proud to hunt once more. Her energy brings hope for the other lionesses - even two rambunctious cubs couldn't wear Kestrel out!

6/17/2014: After a long life in Albel and Tiercel's kingdom as the top hunter, Kestrel has finally decided to retire. Her legacy will be continued through the lovely young lioness Bluebird. Kestrel is happy to live out her days mentoring her daughter and the other young hunters. She knows that the kingdom is in good hands, and is proud of her legacy as a pride founder.
