Biography
Name Meaning: "faith"

3/1/14:
Omolara came from another pride, stumbling into camp one day. Azizi immediately felt compassion for the young maltese, and gave her over to be cared for by Imani. Though Imani was young, the only lioness at that time was Sanaz, and she needed to hunt. During the time when Omolara recovered from the long journey, she and Imani became close friends. Today is the day when Omolara officially joined the pride, though she was accepted the day she came. To honor her determination to come from so far away, Azizi gave her the new name of "Omolara" the meaning of which is similar to the idea of adoption.

1/21/16: Omolara and Imani both have lived a long, good life. They've seen pride-members come and go, including Sanaz, their mentor for hunting and patrolling. They grew up alongside Tinka, who'd seen far more devastation than anyone ever needed in their life, and the three played a major part in rebuilding the torn-apart pride. They have served as mentors and broodmothers, watching over the next generation. And, finally, it is nearing their time to go.
