Artemis [Golden 2]

Artemis and Daiki~

Artemis and Daiki were born twins. They look exactly the same and the lionesses would get them confused all the time. When Daiki was taken under Akiyuki's wing, he also took Artemis as well. Since she was just a cub she can't remember what happened but she considers Akiyuki her father. At first when she opened her eyes and stared into his eyes, she saw a void of neverending sadness. When she was old enough to understand him, he named her Artemis, meaning Goddess of the Moon. She and Daiki spent the next years together, rolling on the ground and playing around with each other. Before she knew it time had passed and she grew up with Daiki. She realized that she was no longer staring at Daiki as a brother, but as a male lion she started to love. She knew it was taboo so she didn't tell Daiki but instead decided to consult with her father.

Akiyuki grew kinder over the years and she saw the change in him as well. She told Akiyuki and all he did was nod and smiled. When he told her that he was planning on making her Daiki's Queen, she questioned him, confused. He told her that other outsiders may think it taboo but that the heart is never wrong. She took in his words and ran as soon as she saw Daiki round the corner. She ran to the edge of Pride lands and dropped to the floor. Frustrated, she let out a roar, tears streaming down her face. Was it right to listen to her heart? Akiyuki thought it was ok so why did she continue to doubt herself? Daiki was her kind and gentle older brother whom always cheered her up when she was down. He stayed by her side through thick and thin. It felt as if she was betraying Daiki and wondered what his reaction would be like if she told him the truth.
