Meringue is a little bit on the harsh side. She's very distant and cold, and often seems detached. This is not to say she doesn't care or love, she's just not good at showing her emotions. Most in the pride have gotten accustomed to her harsh words, as they know that she doesn't mean them to be mean or hurtful. That's just how she is. They love her anyway.

Marko (*prev name of Mekaisto) certainly gets along with her and feels relieved by her presence, since for once there is another lion who's actions are often misunderstood. He is often seen as rude or even cruel because of his disability that makes it hard for others to understand him. But with Meringue around, he feels like he can relax since she similarly makes enemies by being herself. And her true self is not a terrible, cruel creature. She loves her pride and defends them well. From the cubs, to the adols, to the adults, to the elderly. She just doesn't show her care in the most conventional way.
