Lobortis

Lobortis was born from a fiery lioness who didn't want her. Her mother was cruel and insensitive to Lobortis, uncaring of the tiger-like lioness, not knowing her daughter's dangerous potential. She trained Lobortis to be a killer, not a lover or a mother, not even a huntress but a cold-blooded killer. When her mother was sold off to pay for the King's foolish and crippling debt, Lobortis was brought to another lioness's side.

Lobortis was taught to be a mother, soft but firm by Incenderunt, a very kind and loving lioness who had a passion for her hunting. She was taught by the burning lioness to hunt for the pride, not for herself and only when the Favella pride's most beloved was fed, would she eat. She was thought to be selfless and strong, to defend cubs even if they were not the pride's cubs.

Lobortis took her mother's training to heart and her cruel nature into her personality. Due to the mixtures of training, Lobortis had a split-personality. The kind-hearted loving lioness who played with cubs and trained the adolescent lionesses how to love as well, and during e hunt she was cold-blood lioness who thought only of the blood of her prey running down her throat.

She had, in fact, attack one of the pride's lionesses during the hunts, mistakenly ripping flesh from her leg. She never forgave herself for leaving Caelum the mark of her bite and Lobortis was drawn to depression. She hid herself often from the cubs, afraid her tiger-like mind would lash out and hurt one of them.

But, Caelum, who had grown up with Lobortis, assured her that she was okay and she forgave the lioness. They became close friends and shared stories of their pasts and Lobortis found she was able to control the split-personality to a degree. She brought home large meals for the pride, even without the dark side of her.

Lobortis is now helping the pride by selling out her cubs, believing her inner nature would actually hurt her cubs like her mother had hurt her, despite Caelum's protests. Lobortis believed that if she were to raise a cub, she would only make her exactly like her and she didn't want that.

She does not plan to keep any of her cubs in the future.
