Chieftess, after Durga.
Elah was born into the pride, and was Tyche's first cub. Sired by a male whose prowess preceded him, and with her dam being so respected by the pride, she was essentially born into a position of respect. Since then, any respect she has garnered has come from blood, sweat, and a fantastic aptitude for walking the thin line between diplomacy and violence. One does not simply insult Elah, as she will have their throats.
Tutored by Durga, the late Esu's chieftess, she was left with much to be desired. Durga had no taste for being chieftess after Atai handed her the reins, and was considered to be the poorest chieftess the pride had ever seen. When she simply disappeared after the drought, Elah was left high and dry, and in need of some quick work on her feet. Thankfully, she took to the position like a duck to water, and has been ruling the pride with more efficiency and respect than even her consort, Awha. While he is soft spoken and prone to wanting to take the diplomatic route, even if it doesn't do the pride well, Elah is quite the opposite. She is quite happy to take charge, and take names, if need be, and can both silver tongue and bite any who stand in her way.
In this regard, the pride loves her. She has forged alliances and built up the pride in a manner that has not been seen since Nasilele was chieftess, and at such a young age, it is widely believed that she is not done yet. She is a skilled huntress, and a proven dam. She does have fertility problems, which may bring her trouble in the future, but for now she has six cubs to her name who are all as promising as she, with a son who is poised to become Taburimai's heir in the coalition pride, and three daughters who are either going to remain with Elah's pride, or disperse to join others, their fate is less certain, after all.

She was the longest living, and perhaps most influential chieftess, to take care of the pride. At the time of her passing a peaceful, quiet event she had mothered 11 cubs, of which one would go on to become chief, and his brother would step up to become the next heir to the throne. Her daughters would go on to become well respected huntresses, healers and talented members of her and other prides. In her time as chieftess, she would see the rise and fall of two chiefs, and the ascension of her own son, to act as chief alongside her.
Her bloodlines will always remain in the pride, and with any luck her strong, prepotent genes will go on to live on in future generations of lions descended from her and her kin.
