Her mother watched as he inspected the small cub, before licking her small little head in approval. Her small eyes opened, revealing the emerald green they hid. He licked her head again and looked at the mother who looked at her dark paws, ones that were black as the night, while her daughter's were spotted white and beautiful. When the king had left, she nuzzled her cub, pulling it closer so she may suckle milk. She thought of the name before deciding at last. Her own name would be bestowed in her dear daughter. She licked her daughter's ear and purred her new name. " Purus.." Her own name sounding odd on her tongue but it would be her daughter's name so her legacy could be continued within the pride after she was gone.
