Cougartail is Hawkthorn's slightly older sister. When he was transferred over to another account where he was unable to age for a few days, Cougartail gained the age advantage over him. So yes, she is a couple months older however they are of the same litter with the same parents.
Cougartail and Hawkthorn were bought in the Trading Center for 15sb for the two of them. Wildheart had been simply browsing when he came upon their king and his trades. Of course, he went over and checked them out. First Wildheart saw Hawkpaw, named Cub$ at the time. Now rather intruiged, Wildheart turned and looked at Cougarpaw. He couldn't believe how different yet alike the two were. But still, he had a heir and besides, Cub$'s base wasn't very desirable or anything. It was natural... Wildheart returned to his territory, still thinking about the two adolescents. Suddenly, he couldn't bear the thought of letting the two slip through his paws. Enlightened, Wildheart sprinted as fast as his four legs would carry him back to the trading center. There was the two, still standing there huddling into each other. Wildheart walked over to what he assumed was their king, a striking gray with onyx marks and white here and there in his silver pelt. The king chuckled when he saw Wildheart.
"Didn't I just see you check 'em out?" He asked lightly.
"Yep. I walked back to my den and couldn't imagine letting some other king buy 'em." Wildheart answered, trying to match the older lion's accent. He handed over the 15sb to the friendly king and asked jokingly "So are they yours?"
"Ya mean of my blood? Oh no, one of my finest lionesses wandered off in heat. A few months later, these two popped out. I gotta admit though, she did a fine job of choosing a good mate."
"I agree. Anyway, have a nice day!" Wildheart waved his tail in goodbye and stalked over to the two adolescents. "Follow me, I'm taking you to my pride."
When the two first arrived, they got many a look from the other pride members. It seemed that Cougartail would be sold when she came into heat, and would fetch a high price too. She was re-named "Pretty Sell Later" and Hawkthorn was named "Cream Darker", for his advertising to other kings to come buy him. Wildheart of course was now at a loss... go with his original plan for a heir, which was Stoutpaw, the Melanistic male, or Cream Darker, the naturally handsome, unique male? Wildheart asked around a bit, and all the kings liked mutated Stoutpaw better. Cougartail knew this of course, but didn't say anything to her brother. But thankfully, Wildheart didn't have to decide.
When Stoutpaw was 1yr 11 months, Cream Darker challenged him before the whole pride. Cougartail knew that he was planning to, but had doubted whether or not he'd go through with it. Of course, Stoutpaw accepted. Cream Darker took on the name 'Hawkpaw' and defeated Stoutpaw, securing his own spot as king. It was only due to this that Pretty Sell Later was also given a proper name, Cougarpaw.

Cougartail is all grown up, and has had her first litter. They are two gorgeous copper females, Flashkit and Sizzlekit. She hopes that Hakwpaw will return to the pride soon enough to meet his nieces. Until then, she keeps watch over her cubs and thinks about what will happen when her brother becomes king.
Hawkthorn didn't become king, he was outpaced by Whisperspirit. Cougartail has mothered many litters of cubs and is getting up in her years. All of her cubs have been absolutely stunning and she's chosen a gorgeous mate for her final heat.
She was given a Yombie Bark so that she'd be able to breed one last time when she turned 14. She found a handsome onyx stud whom was similar in age to her and chose him as her mate.
