Occasus

Innecto watched at the fiery sun of the new morning rose over the Savannah horizon. She got a good look at her cub as the sun warmed her new cub's fur. The cub was at first unable to be seen by the growing suns rays. A name came to mind as the sun grew and lifted above the horizon, clouds and the rainbow rays on the morning sky shined so brightly, it was almost blinding.

Jade green eyes practically flashed when they were open to meet her mother's sea green eyes. A soft squeak from the cub indicated the new life of the new cub. She shuffled over to mother, nuzzling into her side. Innecto nuzzled her cub and whispered her name softly as to not to disturb her fellow lionesses. "Occaus," she whispered and the name was accepted with a wagging tail from the cub and a squeaky yawn as she went to sleep, being comforted by her mother's warm body beside her.

She grew up well and the dawn was what greeted her when she grew into an adolescent. Her coat was well-known to be the come of the morning dawn of the pride. She woke up everyday at dawn, despite her mother, Innecto still being asleep. She played and woke up the other cubs, sometimes with her rough housing, she'd end up waking the King and other lionesses.

She was protective of the younger cubs, often chasing away the other adolescents from them and played feathers and skulls with them. Occasus was a very happy, growing lioness. Soon, she'd be known for being a strong lioness.

Soon after she'd had her first two cubs, a new King came to the Pride. Occasus was impressed with his coat, his demeanor and how he took after his mentor and making the same decisions but making new ones. She grew happier with this new King. He seemed kind, more level-head.
