She is looked upon as the most beautiful lioness of the pride, and not only does she have beauty, but she is a great hunter, excellent fighter, and has a wonderful personality. She is always kindhearted to her pride members, and particularly fancies the leader, Brackenfire. She has a strong bond with her brother, Lakeblaze, and is glad he was allowed to stay in the pride after he had grown. Brackenfire seems to show the same affection back to her, and now, had become mates with him, much to her brothers delight. Skyblaze feels strongly about her family and hopes that her cubs grow up strong and healthy as she and her brother had.

She loves Brackenfire a lot, and is happy with him. She is very fond of all her cubs, but leaves often to hunt alone for the pride. She is the best hunter in the pride, bringing in lots of food for everyone. Her best friend is Tawnyheart, who grew up with her when they were small, and who is also very alike. She loves her family but wishes she could meet her father, who her mother met on the road and fell in love with. Her mother refuses to tell her his name, and her brother as no idea either.

Tawnyheart and Skyblaze often hunt together now, bringing in even more prey and keeping the pride well fed and strong. She knows that her mother is hiding her from her father, somehow. Skyblaze knows that many males have gone with her mother, but her new sister looks a lot like herself. Skyblaze doesn't have the nerve to ask. If her mother really wanted to keep it a secret, there must be a reason. For now, she takes up most of her time hunting with her friend, only until the end of the day does she stick around with the pride and her cubs. She's proud of her role as main hunter and wouldn't give anything for it to be different.

With her life drawing to an end, Skyblaze keeps it safe and stays in her den, her grandchildren climbing over her all the time and listening intently to her old hunting stories and stories of Brackenfire, the leader before theirs. She enjoys her days with Tawnyheart and the safety of the den, and feels strongly that her and her brother will pass on to a better place soon. She's insistent to him, trying to keep him to stay in the clearing, but her brother being the stubborn male he is, assures her that the pride still needs his help and heads out everyday to patrol the territory. Though a little worrisome, Skyblaze is filled with a deep peace as she awaits to join her mother again.
