The Dark Queen~ (First Onyx)

Waking up in a dark place is the least of your worries when you can't remember who you are. Wandering the barren lands is no easy feat. All she remembered was one word, Kuronuma. What could it be? Was it a place? A name? She roamed endlessly until she finally saw grass and the golden fields of the savannah. She felt like she traveled for months at a time. Lost and afraid she kept walking forward until she met Akiyuki. He claimed to be the King of a Pride, a Pride called Erebus. She reluctantly took his offer to stay with him until all the issues were sorted out. What she saw, she would never forget. Cubs running around and playing and huntresses mingling with one another. It was like a family, a family she never knew. Akiyuki showed her around and introduced her to all the lionesses and lions in the Pride. He offered her a place in the Pride, in other words, family.

Years passed by and Kuronuma grew older, stronger, and wiser. She always wondered why among all the others, her coat was the darkest. It was like the night sky, a pure black color. Despite the differences, she made friends, but she realized that something was growing inside of her. Was it the need to be truly accepted? Was it power she wanted? She herself didn't know until she met the Queen of the Pride, Queen Yukina. She was so kind and loving, Kuronuma didn't know if it was even possible. She wanted that! The king's only love and the place next to him. She vowed on the darkest night that if she cannot be the Queen of the Pride then she will be the exact opposite. She'll start a new generation, a generation of dark Queens, the era of Onyx Queens begins with her.
