First off, she's rude, boorish, and unflattering in every sense of the word. On top of that, she's more arrogant and cocky than one could think possible, and if there is one thing clear about this lioness, it's that she's much to sure of her abilities for her own good. It's not because she simply woke up and decided one day that she would be that way--Baelfire has a reason that, at least to some, can justify her behavior. She's daughter of one of the most well-respected lionesses in the pride, and for either this reason or just her wild confidence, others her age find themselves flocking to her. Surprisingly, however, Baelfire dislikes living in her mother's shadow and strives to create her own path rather than following in the pawsteps of Clementine, thus solidifying her competitive, perfectionist demeanor.

Baelfire, being a reckless and hotblooded lion who won't hesitate to charge headlong into anything, is the type who needs another to keep her under check and in control, providing a more rational opinion when she gets too worked up. She eventually comes to find this in Hysteria, a younger yet more mature and clever lioness. Though she would at first resent Hysteria for challenging her one time too many, and for acting as if she was older than Baelfire, Hys has a way of getting to lions that not even she can resist. Though it would take a good few months, Hysteria was persistent and thanks to that trait, the elder lioness would grow to form a life-long attachment to her.
