Briore was known as a level-headed lioness who figured out and focused on the things no one else bothered to notice. She was a problem solver, and the one most would go to for advice. Though she would take time in producing an answer, usually that answer was well thought up and the correct thing to say. She was Sun Cloud's best friend, and kept him from babbling on and doing ridiculous things during their reign as King and Queen. The Soleil Pride began with the union of these two, bringing peace and prosperity to their small forest.
When Sun Cloud fell in battle, and young Spiorde stepped up to take his role as king... Briore was still given the respect and title of queen. Even though she denied Spiorde romantically, she was the rightful queen by his side, to lead the Soleil Pride until the end. The pride murmured that it was weird, if not honorable, that Briore never took another love, and had anymore cubs beyond Inieve. And they accepted her choice, deeming it weirder yet that their queen should step down from her position, when she was the very founder of their pride.
Spiorde accepted it with respect, and he created a new tradition. That if named king or queen, princess or prince, your title would never be revoked by a new ruler. Will write more later, I'm dead tired
