Name: Hasira
Meaning: Her name means "rage, tantrum, anger".
Rank: Guard
Bloodlines: Amahle x Lia (outside lines)
Offspring: 0 | 0 living; 0 dead
Personality Traits: Short-tempered and prone to tantrums, Hasira has earned her name. She tends to be snappish and aggressive, often requiring Jehlani or Ahadi to put her into her place. While she has a lack of control and a fierceness about her, she is devouted to the pride and more than willing to lay down her life to protect it.
Physical Traits: Surprisingly given her savageness, Hasira is not particularly tall for a lioness. She is, in fact, short and compact with thick limbs. Not a particularly beautiful lioness, she is still striking and distinctive. Scarred from her many fights with any half-dangerous beast that dares wander too pride, she looks the part of a fierce defender.
Companion(s): None at the moment.
Currently: Though still young, Hasira takes her position as guard seriously. She's not a very skilled hunter, being impatient and short-legged, but she is a very capable protector.
History: Hasira was born with a bad temper. Even as a cub she was troublesome and savage, attacking her littermates and even older lions. Having limited patience for the somewhat vile-tempered cub, her birth pride was eager to be rid of the cub once she was weaned. Oddly enough, it was Batuuli who encouraged Kiongozi to welcome her. Put in the stern care of Iklwa and Jehlani, Hasira was slowly taught some manners and control. They worked to redirect her quick temper and sometimes random rages into something more productive.
While she was difficult and never became close with any of the lionesses her own age, Hasira has grown up devoted to protecting the pride and its boundaries. Though still prone to fits of violence and lashing out toward others, she is intensely devoted to the defense of her family. The few who are safe from her temper are Dawa, due to her gentleness, and Uzuri, who she respects more than most. Jehlani and Ahadi are often forced to subdue Hasira if she gets too out of control, but they taught her to find out outlets than harming her pride-mates.
With Kiongozi now on the throne, Hasira has been even more diligent in her defense of the pride's boundaries, wary of any dangers to the next generation. There is some concern amongst the older lionesses of when it is Hasira's time to breed, but Dawa alone seems calm and serene of the matter, assuring the rest that Hasira will be a protective mother.
