Sierra had been in the pride the longest out of any of the lions originally kept by king Sunburst, and the lovely Vandal lioness was the only one of Sunburst's pride that Valence had decided to keep. For her long term dedication to the pride, she was awarded with the status of Lead Huntress, giving her a new opportunity to become stronger. Sierra had always been a decently strong lioness, but Valence knew that members with her blood would become some of the most valued lionesses in the pride. Valence was proved correct with the birth of Sierra's first cub, Rayen. Everyone knew that Rayen wasn't much of a looker, even Sierra. However, she defended the cub from being chased by Valence, showing him that she was stronger than some members of the pride even as a cub. Valence let her stay, on the condition that Sierra step down from lead huntress to let her daughter take over as soon as she was old enough. Sierra agreed, knowing that she was already one of the oldest lionesses in the pride.
