Mekare was found by King Servali while he was still a newborn cub, abandoned in some plains. Feeling sorry for him, Servali decided to take him in, and gave him to his then queen, Anata, to nurse. Mekare was a terribly playful and mischevious cub, always getting into trouble and pulling pranks at his littermates. Oftentimes he'd get back to the den terribly messy, full of mad and leave and sticks, but Anata was always there to clean him up. As time passed, Mekare grew a great fondness and admiration for Abaddon, the pride's subordinate male, which later developed into a crush as he reached adolescense. After Anata passed away, Mekare was choosen by Servali as a subordinate himself. 4/21 - Mekare is pacing back and forth. You suggest he ought to go practice his climbing, and he gleefully leaves to go do just that.
