Rex joined the pride as a grown lion, with his odd folded ears and garish colouring Satin took to him immediately. Rex quickly took up his own position within the pride patrolling the borders for Satin (though his gentle nature made him poor at this particular task) and babysitting the cubs when the lionesses went out to hunt. While the lionesses were uneasy with this arrangement at first his sweet personality and Satin's quiet trust in him eventually put their minds at ease.
