Biography
Snow is the kind, caring queen to whom Masked Fate gave his heart. Out of all the lionesses, Snow is his favorite. While some males may believe she is a little plain, Masked Fate believes she is the most beautiful lioness of them all, inside and out.

July 30th, 2013- A Cape Fox has taken a liking to Snow! Snow decided to call her Kitt. Kitt and Snow spend lots of their free time together. They most often like to lay out in the sun, basking in its warming rays.
October 28th, 2017 - Snow spends more time with Masked Fate and less time hunting every day. She is older than him, and knows they may not have very much time left. At 10 years and 3 months, she knows they have several years at least, but you can never have enough time with your true love.
11/18/2017 - 12 years <3
3/24/2018 - 13 years..<3
5/31/2018 - 14 years...<3
6/7/2018 - You noticed .:Snow:. pushing an ostrich chick with her nose to help it get up, and watching it tumble away back to its mom. You sit down, smiling at her. What a cutie.
6/18/2018 - She was 15 years, 1 month old now.
It was clear to all that her time on this Earth was coming to a close. The Pride members kept quiet, of course. But those closest to the Queen were scared, lost. They feared what each day may bring, knowing very well that each breath may be her last.
Snow knew all this as well. She had no fear of death, however. She had lived a long, happy life. She had found true love and lived the lavish life of a Queen. She bore cubs, loving daughters to carry on her legacy. She lived in a picture-perfect Pride, never knowing the pains of starvation, cruelty, or betrayal. She spent each and every day helping others, playing with cubs, welcoming lost lions to a forever home. She played dress-up with many, many cubs and adolescents alike, adorning the young things in jewels and flowers and beautiful things. She had lived a life that many lions and lionesses alike could only dream of. What was there to fear on the other side?
She loved her retired life. Her days of hunting were far, far behind her; now, she watched the orphaned and abandoned cubs she had raised as her own carry on her legacy. She was a mother to all within the Pride, and saw each cub and adolescent she loved as equal, regardless of blood. Her paws had shaped many, many lives.
She lazed around in her King's den, snuggled into her mate's mane. Breathing in his scent, she sighed; what more could she have asked for in this life?
"I love you, Masked Fate." Her voice was so soft, like silk on the King's ears. "Forever and always, I will love you."
"And I will love you to the end of my days and beyond." Masked Fate replied, cooing in a voice only Snow heard. "My Queen, the love of my lifetime and eternity beyond."
'May eternity be kind to us both,' she thought, cuddling against him. 'For I would like this moment to never end.'
6/24/2018 - She was 15 years, 6 months old.
Indeed, it was a miracle. She was honored the stars had chosen to bless her in such a way, so many months past her fifteenth year. It was a time many lionesses didn't see.
She'd seen so much in her life. She saw the Sun Pride rise from nothing. She watched as its cubs grew stronger, more beautiful, with each passing day. She saw the world around her change, living through floods and the rise of Apophis alike. She watched as her pridemates wore their colors without fear.
She'd done so, so much. Hunted countless times, bred beautiful cubs, found true love. Ruled over the kindest lions to ever exist, alongside the greatest king in all of Africa. She'd raised countless cubs, whether her's or another's, taught them about everything the world may hold for them.
She filled her Pride with hope, her family with love. And she smiled.
She felt peace. She always did. Masked Fate spent too much time worrying; about his lover, about his pride, about the past and future alike. She hated to see him like that, really. He'd softened over the years, thank the stars. He grew to learn that all we have is a moment; why waste it dwelling on things we can't change? Snow had been born with that mindset, but it took years for him to adopt it. She was thankful she was alive to see it.
Fawn and Winter rarely left her side now, as did Kovu. Those three worried constantly; she hoped they'd learn soon enough.
She smiled at the soft brush of a tail against her own, leaning in closer to her mate. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and the kids feigned disgust. They all laughed at this, a short break from the worries, the future, the past.
A short moment for now.
'Such a wonderful family has been given to me,' she thought. 'Thank the stars indeed...'
6/25/2018 - Sixteen years, eight months. Such a long life to live for a lioness indeed!
She was so grateful for each passing day. She watched the little croupe cub as she toddled around, draped in the dress up she had so proudly put together. She watched her adoptive daughter Yuki grow bigger and stronger each day. She was so thankful the stars had given her the chance.
Kovu was growing stronger, too. He'd grown so much since he'd arrived as scrawny, adorable adolescent. He had grown into such a fine prince over the years, and she was so incredibly proud. She'd never had a son of her own blood, but adopted Kovu as her own instead. And to see her little boy grow up into the makings of a fine king was something so sweet to watch.
She smiled at the thought. Kitt cuddled against her. The fox was old, far older than many lived. 'Just like me, aren't you, Kitt?'
She loved that fox with all her heart. It accompanied her always, living a quiet and humble life by her side, content to stay in the shadows. Many lions didn't even notice the fox, as they were so used to it being with Snow.
"I'm glad you've stayed by my side all this time," Snow said to her little friend. "Your company has been a blessing indeed."
Kitt licked the Queen's face, and Snow couldn't help but laugh. She was so happy.
It seemed she always was.
6/26/2018 - 15 years, 9 months.
Snow stood with some difficulty, carefully stretching her aching limbs. Her age was obvious in her posture, the dark circles around her eyes. Masked Fate smiled at her. "Like a wise elder," he'd say. She'd laugh at that.
She spent her time around the cubs and adolescents mostly. Young Yuki had taken a liking to her adoptive mother, and visited frequently. Snow really loved playing with the little ones, though. The croupe cub, Fang's daughter, and Prowess' little Symphony were all so young and so playful. Snow struggled to keep up with them, but she loved them all the same. The cubs didn't seem to mind too much, either, so long as they were getting attention!
Kerberos visited her a lot, always accompanied by Firefly. Snow loved her little moon greatly. She smiled at the sight of Kerberos and Firefly, side by side day in and day out. They'd always come bearing gifts, such as fresh geese (the Queen's favorite food), flowers they'd pick, or just a nice story. Snow enjoyed those moments, listening quietly while Kerberos spoke. Snow always told stories; it was nice to be on the receiving end.
Her two blood daughters, Fawn and Winter, spent a lot of time with her as well. They temporarily retired from their hunts to spend these last few months with their mother. Snow was grateful to have them, always. She loved her children , loved their soft voices and thoughtful words. She felt honored to be the mother of such amazing lionesses.
She curled up beside Masked Fate and sighed happily. It wasn't long before Fawn, Winter, and Kovu joined them. The five slept together, all at peace in each other's arms.
'My beautiful family by my side,' Snow thought as she drifted off. 'This is all I need.'
6/28/2018 - 15 years, 11 months.
Snow's story was coming to a close.
She'd lived a peaceful life in a peaceful pride. No lion ever left; no lion ever starved or felt unhappy. They had no enemies here. She'd lived in a Paradise for all her life.
She'd ruled over a Paradise, too. Her Pride was full of love for everyone, regardless of anything. Every lion could live the life they wanted without fear here. She'd helped accomplish that.
She'd shown Masked Fate how to be happy. How to relax, how to forget about his problems for a moment and just breathe. She'd always been so Gentle.
Her Pride loved her as a mother, a friend, a protector, and a Queen. Every pride member's life had been touched by Snow. She'd cared for some as cubs, taught others how to hunt, helped some through sickness, cuddled with them when sad. She was never a Queen to a throne; she was a Queen among her people, and it showed. In many ways, she was the most respected member of this Pride.
She was always so calm and peaceful, but even more so now. She wasn't worried or even scared of dying. What did she have to fear? She'd lived a fulfilling life, and was ready to join the stars. And if the stars wouldn't have her, that was alright too. She'd already experienced everything she could dream of.
'This is so much more than any lion could ever ask for,' she thought. 'I've lived the life of dreams.'
6/30/2018 - Her 16th birthday was a quiet celebration.
She was joined by Masked Fate, Winter, Fawn, and Kovu for a small feast of her favorite food - African Geese. That was all she wanted; a quiet moment with her family, away from the spotlight. So that is what she was given.
Afterwards, she did allow visits from her other pridemembers. Many came throughout the day with birthday wishes and kind words. Lionesses she'd raised, old friends she'd hunted beside, everylion was welcome. It was exhausting in the best way possible.
Later in the day, three lions came together to visit her - Nightwing and his royal advisors, Sapphire and Straye. They'd traveled all the way from the jungle to see Snow on her special day. She smiled at them, a special smile that few saw. She remembered Straye; he was very much her second son, short as his time here had been. She hadn't expected him to come.
"How could I not see my mom on her 16th?" Straye said with his cocky grin. Snow laughed at that.
"Yes, what was I thinking?" She replied.
She enjoyed their company for many hours. When night fell, they left, as did all the other visitors. She lay in Masked Fate's arms that night, falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
Her favorite sound in the world.
7/1/2018 - What a peaceful way to go.
His beating heart a lullaby to her weary ears. His soft breath against her aging body. His arms wrapped around her, so warm.
She couldn't have asked for anything better, anything easier. He was awake now, as was she. They both knew what was happening.
"I love you, Snow," Masked Fate whispered.
"And I love you," Snow replied.
Her own breath was slowing now, her own heartbeat growing softer. Masked Fate swallowed down his tears. This needed to be peaceful, for both of their sake.
Thankfully, he hid it well. Snow closed her eyes.
"Take your time to see me, alright? They still need you here, dear," Snow said with a weak, gentle voice.
Masked Fate nodded, pressing his face against her. "Of course. Try not to be too lonely, hmm?"
She laughed at that, a breathy sound. "I'm sure I'll be alright."
They lie in silence after that, enjoying their last moments. The heartbeat stopped so slowly, so peacefully.
She was gone.
Later that night, Kitt left in her sleep, off to join her best friend in afterlife.
Free to frolic once again, the chains of age left behind.
[Gosh Snow, I don't know what to say. Thank you for the amazing years. You've been our Queen since day one, joining us March 3rd, 2013. We've seen the game change so much together. We've been together for over 5 years! Crazy how the time flies, isn't it?
It's easy to let go now, knowing that we've spent our time well. It was soothing to write about your calm acceptance of it all, how grateful you were for the little things. It helped me too.
I know the Sun Pride needs its King, especially now. So we'll wait, together. Kitt will be by your side for eternity and beyond, until Masked Fate's final days are here. He'll be joining you sooner than you realize, and I'm sorry, but he's old too!
I thank you for holding out all 16 years. I wondered every rollover if I'd lose you, but you stayed. You stayed as long as your programming would allow you, and I'm thankful for that.
Rest in Peace, Snow. Mother to All, Queen of our Pride and Our Hearts. March 3rd, 2015 to July 1st, 2018. What an amazing five years it has been.]
