Queen Xyllah had joined the pride prior to Rayner. When the old king Muaka held power over the lions. He ruled with and ironed will, and his Queen was no different. She forbade anyone other than herself to breed. Any cubs that were not from her she'd kill them in an instant. Xyllah had gotten pregnant while out hunting one day, and was scared when her belly started to show. She kept her distance from the pride hoping to deliver her cub in safety, that is when she spotted Rayner loping around and instantly felt a connection to the lion. He did as well and after spending a week with her he nuzzled her and told her everything would be alright.... Soon after he left.... 4 days later he returned telling her he was the king now and should would be queen, she returned and gave birth to a beautiful cub... The Princess of the new pride.
