Rose's first pride had been on the brink of starvation. It had been large, with several lionesses and cubs, but there hadn't been enough territory to feed the entire pride. She, and her friends Pyra and Rose, left the pride to find a place that was more suitable. They happened to stubble upon Adil. He told them of his pride, how it was still small with plenty of territory to feed them. They eagerly joined the new pride. Rose had spent most of her time as broodmother in her old pride. She was more than willing to take the same position in this new pride. She has enjoyed every moment taking care of the pride's cubs, but also enjoyed having a cub of her own. When she heard news Adran wouldn't be the heir, she hoped her son, Styx, would be, as he had demonstrated a kind and caring heart. Instead, Kaleb was chosen, and soon after a new cub named Luth. She was disappointed, but Adil gave her encouraging words by promising Styx would serve by the heir's side as their prince.
