Luta was the first son born to Kumon, and from the moment he took his first breath, he was Kumon's pride and joy. Though not leader material by nature, Luta is as kind as his father and is determined to do right by his pride. His adopted brother, Kujali, takes the lead for him in most situations, but it is always Luta who is able to calm a tense situation or think of the best ideas. He has a very close relationship with his mother, Synga, and will do anything to keep her safe - even as a cub, Luta chased away small birds and mosquitoes when they came to close to her. When it came to larger creatures like rats or vultures, however, it is Kujali who raced forward to scare them off.
