Means "light"


Lesedi grew up close with the royals, as her mother and the former Queen were best friends. Unlike her sisters, though, she did not fall for the Kind Boipelo. She had always crushed on his twin brother, and was devastated when he murdered the former Queen and left. She would have followed him, but she refused to leave behind her sisters, whom she loves dearly. And now that she remains within the Pride, she is a Lead Huntress, like her sister Aberash was. She also has three nieces, who are the Princesses. She has a daughter, Amara, whom she is very proud of. She is a great huntress like her mother, and the royal girls all go out hunting together.

Lesedi has recently adopted the little Fennec Fox whom she calls Asha. She is very fond of her little Asha, and considers the fox her daughter as well. Asha loves to romp around with Amara, and Lesedi hopes the bond will last past adulthood.

Lesedi is getting older, like her sister, the Queen Abeni. She misses her Folami, and though she has Amara it doesn't heal the hole in her heart. And besides, she never did get to have cubs with her first love, Boipelo's brother. But whatever she regrets not doing in her life cannot affect her now. She will die soon, and she accepts it.

Three months after her sister's death, and Lesedi cannot take it any more. She finally joins Abeni and Dayo in the high heavens, leaving the pride to grief once more. Daughter Amara is left alone, besides Abena, without any siblings or cubs of her own.
