Meaning "Speed." The only survivor of Chokaa's cubs after she abandoned them for Kushinda's twisted training. As bitter as her mother, but not sick enough to kill, Kasi sat in the shadows of the trees on the outskirts of the pride's territory, malnourished and furious, waiting for a lion to either invite her to their pride, or kill her. When Kushinda overthrew the king, she thought her official ranking as Princess would give her more respect; instead, it gave her more disrespect from her brother, fear from her pridesisters, and her mother's mangled corpse. She spent her days wasting away before she found hope--someone who stood bravely to the challenge of overthrowing a tyrant.
That hope was in one of her sons. Out of the view and wrath of her king brother, she gave birth to two males on the outskirts of the territory, with the support of Raza. They were beautiful---both with eyes like their mother and the pelt of their rogue yet royal father. When they returned to the pride, she begged her brother and convinced him that they were found abandoned, and that they could make a great asset and defense to the pride. Reluctantly, Kushinda accepted, yet brutally abused both brothers. Despite the abuse, both brothers grew to be kind and patient. As Kushinda trained them to be ruthless, Kasi trained her sons in secret, as her mother did to her brother, to take over the pride and successfully overthrow their uncle. When her brother is finally overthrown, she is relieved and the weight of years is finally lifted off her shoulders.
