She is often times referred to as "The Punisher", as she is The Artist's main enforcer, second to him. She takes the King's standards and rules very seriously, and if anyone, adult or cub, does not live up to the pride's expectations she has no problem getting rid of them. In fact, The Artist himself has had to come to the rescue of a few of the pride members before. The only ones she listens to are the King and Queen themselves. She believes everyone else should be seen and not heard. Before joining The Artist's pride, she was a member of a gang of rogues who enjoyed hunting. They especially loved to pick on humans, who they considered fair game for all their dirty tricks and cruel nature towards them. The gang constantly continued their quest for revenge, until they were no longer able to. One day they were simply blinded with rage from the humans' latest attempt to capture them that they fell right into their trap. Sorush was the only one to make it out alive. She escaped with a large gash on her side and a smaller one near her left eye. She was sure she was going to die a slow death by herself. However, just as she had almost given up hope, The Artist and his Queen wandered upon her. The King could tell she was a fighter, which he admired, and he took pity on her. The Queen helped Sorush to her feet, and The Artist went off to teach those humans a lesson. Just as the two lionesses were heading back to the pride, they could hear the screams of the humans as the King charged in and showed them they messed with the wrong pride. Once Sorush was fully healed, she decided to stay with The Artist and help protect his pride, the way he protected her. She began sparring with him and Marbas on a daily basis, gradually gaining strength and skill. The King became quite impressed by her that he delegated her to be the leader of patrol; she loves chasing out any stray hyenas, wild dogs, leopards, and any other potential threats that dare cross onto her territory. -Written by xencorex [S2D] (#37405)
