Empress was born deep within a jungle faraway from the four territories, in a clan of lions that believed they were hybrids between lions and panthers, so they lived as such, in small groups, mostly just immediate family. The only time it was allowed to socialize with others of the clan was during the three day peace pact under the nights of the full moon. Empress lived with her father for the first year of her life, her mother died during consummation and the only memories she has of her were the stories her father told her. She lived a very secluded life until her father died of sickness, to which she pleaded her clan's elders to help him to no avail. When he died, the elders told her she was destined for greatness and to not allow his death to soften her, but strengthen her. After that night Empress fled from her family, running until her paws gave out from exhaustion. She had enough skills to hunt for herself but had no true knowledge of the world outside the jungle.
Adolescence - She spent close to four months alone living at the jungle's edge, observing the Savannah and attempting to build up her strength and courage to brave an entire new world. During one of her trips into the Savannah under the cloak of night, she ran into a lone adolescent male who after some coaxing invited her to meet his group of young lionesses who were traveling with him to find a place they could all call home. Having little left in the jungle she placed her trust in this young lion and joined his group of six. She believed she loved this young prince, but when she'd spent more time with him and his group she realized he was picking and choosing weak minded or easily manipulated lionesses from other prides and places in hopes to build up a pride big enough to take over his father's pride. Angry and betrayed she stayed behind when he and his pride moved on, left alone once again in strange and unfamiliar place.
Adulthood - She spent the following years living exactly where her pride had left her, in the large meadow littered with steel contraptions and very little prey in sight. Her main meals were poached from a human tribe not far from her 'home' which consisted of an old couch and a rusted old bus encircled by a few other littered machines. When she first met Karne, he was not much more then a handsome rouge passing through the lands that seemed to enjoy her camp setup a little more then she wished, he was obviously stronger then her but seemed more interested in getting to know her rather then claim her space as his. Much to his disappointment she avoided him as much as possible, though with time she slowly accepted his help and even began to like him.
