Onyx Gem was born into a different pride some distance away. Her mother having fled the pride due to the iron paw of that prides king, and the knowledge that her beloved cub would have been killed for her harmless mutation. The pride took the cub in willingly, finding her special rather then something to be killed, her mother eventually having to return to the pride she came from, lest he come after her.
Little do they know that Onyx Gem would have fit right in with the other pride. She has a cruel streak in her that she keeps well hidden from the others, but is there none the less. Paying little care for her cubs, enjoying watching her kill suffer when she hunts, and any number of things. She hides all of this under a sweet and flirtatious guse, but Radagast isn't fooled, and keeps a close eye on her.
She sneaks back to her old pride now and again and has taken an interest in the prides submale Sauron, the both of them cruel to all but each other. King Greenleaf is getting old and frail, and Sauron is big, and strong. Now all the lion has to do is wait for the opportune moment to take a crown. When that day comes, Onyx will return, and blood will spill.
Sauron though, waited too long. A different challenger came along. He was huge, and intimidating, and a little bit crazy. Young, but very strong. And too much of a match for Greenleaf. Killing the king within a few moments and taking his place as the new king. Sauron knew he could not be defeated. And so he did what he had to. He bowed to the new king, seething and angry as he conveyed what had happened to Gem.
She in turn turned up her nose towards Sauron, and found her way back to the pride anyways, and stood before the insane king. After a bit of a scrap, the two seemed well matched for one another, and soon enough, she became the queen. As wicked and cruel as her king. Using his insanity to her advantage. Everyone was tended to, as far as feeding and care went. But both were merciless. Eddie killing females for the simplest reasons. THough he tended to avoid killing the cubs, Onyx Gem had no problem doing so while Eddie was away. Attacking and killing the cubs she deemed imperfect, or not beautiful enough.
But soon, even he fell. And a new male took over. Snowpeircer was not stronger than Eddie. But the Achromia male was smarter. Not hindered by insanity. And won over him. Soon, Gem found that she and this male got along far better. But her age was starting show. Something that displeased her greatly.
Then, in her wandering away from the rest of the pride, she came upon some odd kind of creature, moving and nose and pat at it, tasting it before running off not long after, being stung and not liking the taste at all. The next day, she felt invigorated and young all over again.
