Yewande, the Prideful Queen ((Yewande means "mother has returned" in Yoruba (an african language).)) Yewande took over as the pride's queen at the moment of her joining, by attacking Taonga, the prides current queen. After a long battle Taonga was humiliatingly beaten, and Yewande has not let the younger lioness forget it. Yewande is prideful and arrogant, using her skill and age to boss the other lionesses around. Yewande is not bothered by Nnamdi's mean personality, and often can be just as moody and teasing in return. This luckily works in her favor, quickly earning Nnamdi's respect.
