He is the youngest of Blackthorn Asylum's third litter and the only male. It was unfortunate this cub was born male, for he would have had a home in his sire's pride. However, The Sentinel decided to show mercy and is sending him to the trading fields instead. Though some might not believe this to be mercy, at least in the Fields he stands a chance of finding a home; otherwise he will merely be chased into the wilds (or worse killed).

As the Grey Morning grew stronger and older, The Eternal Champion was aware that he might be the male replaced to make room for the King's treasured current heir. He was willing to step down and be banished from the pride, if that is what his king desired of him. However, when the Sentinel's Sun contracted rabies, it was Warrior's Dawn and the Eternal Champion who were able to subdue him enough for Oneisha to give him the Devil's Claw. [Scar: Short Left Eye]

"There will be ceremonies and rituals. The Rite of Farewell?"
"Of course."
"During this time of grief, there may be trouble. I shall ensure there is a guard." The Eternal Champion knew there was going to be trouble. "I shall send The Hollow to the place she is now and bring her here. Will that suit you my king?"
"Of course. Thank you. No, no go ahead and do it. I leave it in your paws." The king went away with the knowledge the Grey Lady's body would be safe until it was laid properly to rest.
Come the ceremony, he sought out Warrior's Dawn, his ears flat. He found the younger male with Crown of Snow. "There is trouble. We must go."
They took their leave of Crown of Snow, who went away to prepare for the ceremonies.
Warrior's Dawn and The Eternal Champion sat in ambush. They watched three lionesses from The Outlands who attended the ceremony. As the rituals progressed, the lionesses became more and more agitated. The Eternal Warrior's instincts proved correct when the leader of the troublemakers sought to move forward. What they intended to do, the lions did not know. Only that they had to be stopped.
They chased down the lionesses and wrestled with them, finally banishing them back to The Outlands where they belonged. "If you return, The King shall hear of your treachery!" Warrior's Dawn snarled and lashed his tail.
