Carswell III was retired from hunting on 4/5/2018 at 14 years, 8 months old due to an accident that left her with a bad limp and old age. She's allowed the younger generation to take her place. 4/8/18: When Grheene's time came to pass to the stars, Carswell III held in her tears for him. Grheene often came to her as the pride elder looking for wisdom. The two were only a year apart in age, but Grheene understood respect even as that lanky, clumsy, adolescent who had wandered in all those years ago. Carswell honestly thought she would have passed before him, she wanted it that way, so instead, it would be him counseling the pride she would have left behind. But no, she's the one alive now, grieving with his widow, adult daughter, and two cubs he never really got to know. She will make their pain lesser, for as long as she has to remain.
