He is the only cub from Shadow Strike's second litter. There is no amount of frustration adequately available at the fact that Shadow Strike bore a strong, healthy son instead of a girl cub. Even if he is to stay in the pride, The Sentinel's Sun is too young to be seeking an heir. The Sentinel is quite displeased with the matter even before looking upon the new cub.
When the king looked upon the new addition to the pride, he was further displeased for the cub was quite handsome.... and without gold beetles the markings of the fine specimen will be wasted lest someone takes him as a new king.
:Early Autumn (Two Years):
Unsure, still unnamed save for the nickname 'unsure what to do with him' from when he was a cub, joined those who patrolled the borders of The Sentinel's lands. As there was enough room in the territory for this male too, The Sentinel's Sun decided to keep him on for now.
:Mid Autumn (Two Years, Three Months):
The Sentinel's Sun granted him a name.

As the Grey Morning grew stronger and older, Warrior's Dawn was aware that he might be the male replaced to make room for the King's treasured current heir. He worried about what would become of him in a few months. However, when the Sentinel's Sun contracted rabies, it was Warrior's Dawn and the Eternal Champion who were able to subdue him enough for Oneisha to give him the Devil's Claw. [Scar: Muzzle]

The king said, "The Grey Lady died this day."
"We will see this through together, as a pride, as we always do, my liege." Warrior's Dawn replied when he heard the news. He placed a paw on the king's shoulder.
"Yes, we will." The Sentinel's Sun nodded and tilted his head to rest it against the offered paw. He went away then, to continue to tell the others, and the Warrior's Dawn went to seek Crown of Snow so they might share a few moments together.
The two went to the ceremonies together; however no sooner had they arrived when The Eternal Champion approached them, his ears flat. "There is trouble. We must go."
They took their leave of Crown of Snow, who went away to prepare for the ceremonies.
Warrior's Dawn and The Eternal Champion sat in ambush. They watched three lionesses from The Outlands who attended the ceremony. As the rituals progressed, the lionesses became more and more agitated. The Eternal Warrior's instincts proved correct when the leader of the troublemakers sought to move forward. What they intended to do, the lions did not know. Only that they had to be stopped.
They chased down the lionesses and wrestled with them, finally banishing them back to The Outlands where they belonged. "If you return, The King shall hear of your treachery!" Warrior's Dawn snarled and lashed his tail.
When they returned, the rituals were completed and The Grey Lady officially gone to their answers. Warrior's Dawn went to be with Crown of Snow again...
