Ashanti was recently brought into the pride by Asani; while immediately accepted by Azizi and the lionesses, Amiri Jasiri was more hesitant to allow her in. This would mean she would be loyal to Asani, and Amiri Jasiri needed to have lionesses on his side if he were to assume kingship when it came time. But the pride did need fresh, young blood, and so Ashanti was allowed to join. Asani has already spoken to her about making her his queen, but she has refused for now.
