Queen Mpendwa

Mpendwa means "beloved" in Swahili

One of three cubs born in the queen's last litter. She and her older sister Sraja are engaged in a battle to win the new king's heart and become the next queen. Ultimately the king will decide who he wants to choose as co-leader, whether it be a pride princess or not, but that little detail doesn't stop Mpendwa and Sraja from competing.

11/8 Mpendwa's mother Zawadi passed peacefully. Left without a queen and no clear indication of who the deceased matriarch wanted as a successor, it became King Kejik's responsibility to make the decision. He chose Mpendwa, one of the young pride princesses. She is beautiful, a successful huntress and beloved by the pride. It was a clear and easy choice for the new king to make. Whether the decision was a wise one remains to be seen.

Queen Mpendwa gave birth to three notable cubs. The first was a son who became king to a new pride. The second and third were two beautiful sisters- sharing the marks of leopon heritage. Beaming with pride, Mpendwa named both daughters after the pride's past queens- Sraja and Zawadi. Both sisters worthy of carrying a queen's name, and both entrusted with the future of the pride.

When you approach her, Queen Mpendwa greets you and sniffs your muzzle.
You greet Queen Mpendwa eagerly, and she nuzzles you demurely in return. She doesn't want to take away from your valuable time, but you assure her that her feelings are important too!
