Acquired during
King Attis' reign, the fiery female was planned to be a profitable breeder for the pride, but precarious living conditions due to drought; which resulted in their once abundant watering hole to dry up, left the pride in perilous circumstances and Attis feared not being able to wholly provide for any more cubs than those they were already raising. In fact, many unnecessary lions had to be chased off or traded for additional stock to sustain the pride's minimal resources. Fortunate for rain and aid of allied prides, once in a suitable place, the recovering pride permitted the most able lionesses to bear cubs. Inexperienced mothers like Rushia were mostly passed over for breeding, but her tenacity and honorable nature proved her willingness to serve her pride. The cautious king allowed Rushia a chance to achieve her intended purpose.
Much to the entire pride's bliss, Rushia proved Attis' prediction correct, blessing the pride with its first Mottled Rosette marked member, a beautiful cocoa based daughter named
S'more. Though she temporarily retired from breeding to raise her cub fully to adulthood. King Attis passed, content with Rushia's development over his lifetime. She was a wonderful mother and a great huntress; he knew she was destined for great things even though his time may be over, hers was just beginning.
After Prince Daaze's coronation, Rushia took a primary position as a huntress, rotating shifts with the other parties in the pride. The new king was stubby, hardly the size of an adolescent regardless of reaching adulthood. Despite his peculiar folded ears making him clumsy at times, he was always very humble. His original onyx body was decorated in golden dust complimenting his attention catching rosette pattern. He had burning passion in his vibrant red eyes; despite his shortcomings (including his height, haha!), he always gave his best in every aspect regarding his pride and its well being. This characteristic was reflective to Rushia's own fiery passion, like her pelt, her eyes matched King Daaze's intensity. The two became very close, the older lioness respected the ambitious youth, but devoted herself fully to providing for her pride and left the production of cubs to other lionesses.
They had fallen into such routine for some time, the tiny male grew older and so too did the veteran huntress. As the pride grew, shrunk, and evolved Rushia watched as the young king changed. He was bulking up due to his physical prowess, he was swifter, more agile, and sharply acute, but he was restless. The Aphrodisia event had brought forth countless challenges including pesky outsider males trying to get with HIS LIONESSES....or even him due to his petite frame. While Daaze valiantly defended his pride and reaped countless rewards, the trials had clearly taken a toll on the unseasoned competitor. He disappeared for days on end, causing unrest within the pride. This left his lionesses vulnerable to amorous advances, but their stress kept them on edge and very moody. Let's just say, with attitudes like that, the girls could take care of themselves, haha.
To the relief of everyone, King Daaze return in good health, though his pelt was a bizarre peachy color and his eyes sparkled like amethyst. His sinister onyx base and evil red eyes were no more and he was certainly more mature, Rushia felt herself yearning for the seemingly nostalgic feeling of raising her daughter. Cubs, yes, she wanted his cubs. Aaaaand he happily obliged. <3
